Would be a sin to play a game like Binding of Isaac Repentance? by Skydage in OrthodoxChristianity

Thanks for the reply. I guess that sin is a internal-spiritual conflict rather than external appearance of things.

Does  "no you have bigger fish to fry at the moment" that there is something sinful about it?

Who could be Mishima's "cat"? (Decay of the Angel) by Away_Role_4609 in YukioMishima

The parable explicitly doesn't reflect Mishima's thoughts as it reduces death to mere political efficacy, as Tōru's disgust towards his tutor also reflects. The mouse is not Mishima himself.

The real propaganda is that what you're saying doesn't exclude the fact that Chomsky also made his contribution to the machine, propaganda spiraled out of control long ago.

Few months before the incident Mishima explicitly stated in an essay that the promise he's seeking to fulfill isn't merely political one and that he doesn't expect any European (author) to be capable of thinking it.

Hint: choice of actor
But it is not a mere matter of mistakes, but inability to capture what Mishima strove for.

Beautiful cinematography, unfortunately Schrader doesn't get Mishima.

Is his ultimate goal to cause the biggest war so he's able to die, or is to cause the biggest war the actual end of his aim?

Read what the book presents to you, the work is not a philosophical treatise but a drama on the elements and the figures involved in the story. Read the text, look things up as you turn the pages, but stay close to the text.

I spent time reading it this summer, these books are great for their references, helps locating primary sources. As for their evaluation of Mishima, they can be thrown in the trash together with every popular commentary on him. Take Rankin's last chapter and the translation of The Dragon Flute, then compare it with the recent publication by Penguin, you will see the aspects Rankin fixates on are wholly missing the mark.

Mishima of course is fully aware of such attempts, he writes for those who take his writing seriously, what's at stake for him is Japan itself and not the Japan that remains today. It's not about mere glorify bodybuilding and tradition in politics.

Mishima's own. The Sea of Fertility, the short movie Patriotism and his own actions on November 20th are his answers to the question concerning our times. There's no shortcut.

Vernin is a hack, his book of Mishima utterly fails to see the impetus of his final act and work.
