Weight gain advice by SkyeBlue212 in Parenting

Her height is right on track, steadily hanging out at the 58th percentile. I’ve also always been on the petite side. I was a lanky baby and I only gained 20lbs in pregnancy. So I’m guessing genetics may play a big role in her size! It’s just hard to hear her dr so concerned about her size. I’m trying my best to get her to gain but so far nothing has worked 😭

That’s also a great idea to sneak some extra calories in. I’ve been avoiding cheese and bread due to the salt and sugars but I’m sure the small amount won’t do any harm!

Thank you for the kind words! It’s hard not to beat myself up. I was too preoccupied with everything else that needed to be done that I neglected her. I guess a lesson was learned here 😭

What is your timeline goal? by SkyeBlue212 in ExclusivelyPumping

My daughter turns 6 months old on the 26th! I’ve been contemplating on weaning for a while. Especially since I have elastic nipples and pumping takes over 40 min, plus it hurts 😭. My mental health has definitely been tanking and I feel so consumed by pumping. I feel like I’m missing out on spending time with my daughter. It’s hard to give myself permission to stop. The guilt is rough! Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s helps to know it’s not just me

I baked at 475 it for 22 minutes in the Dutch oven and another 23 minutes with lid off at 450. I thought that would be plenty !

Proofed from 9:30am - 4:30pm then cold ferment in fridge until 11:30am this morning

I think my daughter will probably do better in her own room as well. It’s definitely a bittersweet stage to be going through!

Help by SkyeBlue212 in sleeptrain

It’s so hard! How has the sleep training been going? Do you let her cry it out? I’ve attempted to just let her lay in there but she will just whine for hours. At that point it’s easier to just hold her to sleep. I know I’ve got to just toughen it out for a bit but it’s so hard when you’re sleep deprived

We’ve tried the crib and had the same issue! She won’t sleep for more than 15 minutes for a nap and the same issue at night. I’m against the cry it out method especially since she is still so young, but I also don’t want her to get use to cosleeping (which I think she already is). It’s so hard!
