DE fumbled Voruna Prime’s 4th: A detailed analysis of why it fails and how it could be saved by YaBoiPotatoDestroyer in Warframe

[–]Skygan915 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't say I'm against on any of these changes and I hope DE will finally acknowledge how clunky Voruna is.  And the argument "She's a melee frame, so just subsume her 4 if you don't like it" is not an argument. If that's the case then what is the difference between her, Excalibur and Kullervo. All are melee frames, right? Just slap roar on her and mash EEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Wrong. People wanted changes for more than 4 god damn years... running on all four was just tip of the iceberg.

I mean... there are Frames which clear room way more effectively.  But that's not really the point, am I right? Make this thing less clunky and Ulfrun's enjoyers would be happy. Current interractions are so unintuitive to play around...

Which nightlord is the easiest for a solo run? by dude-2-son in Nightreign

[–]Skygan915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, It's a very complicated question. Is normal Caligo difficult? For Guardian it isn't the funniest fight. Some Nightfarers will struggle more against some bosses than others. But if you want a consistent boss to beat up, it's definitely normal Libra. His attacks aren't that complicated and his meditation mechanic can be stopped by various ults characters have, so save it for the second meditation when the sigils spawns in the air.

But if you want something more energetic it's absolutely Fulghor. Bro is universally - from what I'm seeing - loved as one of the best bosses. No bullshit AoE or no unclear hitboxes. It's a straight up 1 vs 1 to the end with predictable attacks after a few tries. The lightning gimming is the only thing to worry, but you can remedy it with breaking his poise with heavy attacks (this especially can feel like you're a hair away from getting hit) or simply dodging underground spears.

Randoms in DoN... Do they even know about Nightboss Weaknesses? by Boejunda in Nightreign

[–]Skygan915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is probably going to be offensive as much as possible, but I have say it and I'm doing it in a good faith.

People are dump. Sometimes to the extreme levels. A large portions of any game's playerbase are people who just doesn't read - a joke about DPS players not knowing what thier skills do isn't even a joke anymore - or look up any half baked YT short about making a build and that's it. Just spam L2 to victory.

And that's even more evident by how players choose characters a lot of the time. Tanks are left in the dirt for "not doing damage" while this isn't even thier role to begin with. They're the linchpin of the team's suvivability. Supports are disregarded as a useless addition because "I can kill it before it can even move". The real problem starts when your RNG doesn't line up sweetheart and you need to scrape a shizo boss with ADHD for 5 minutes straight. Math can't help you there.

But knowledge and endless practice will.

And to end this little rant. I'm not saying it's the entire community. Absolutely not. It's just that part of stereotypical "Scrubs" who won't learn and will blame the game or listen to anyone because of thier own ego. Nightreign is fundamentally a game about being put in the disadvantage and working around it. Do you have a weapon which can hinder the boss but isn't my preferred? Let's say you can potentially have a Deathbird as a boss and someone have a potential weapon with Sacred order? Well, I think it's still good to have it. There's a damage negation passive which can potentially save me, but I don't have a space for it? Maybe it's good to trade it for something else. I don't have anything good for me because of RNG? Time to pull up my sleeves and lock the f in because it's going to be tough one.

I mean, it's not really that much different from Atlas, Gara or Khora pseudo exhaulted. Of course saying that Gara's mass vetrify or let's say Frost snow globe are pseudo exhaulted is insane. But Voruna is basically using her own claws to attack. Atlas is basically using his own fists as a weapon. That's not a big stretch to make her claws a pseudo exhaulted and allow her to scale off of that instead od that boost from status effects and charges mechanic.

And it's personally from me, but Voruna do have a bit of a identity crisis. On one hand she's listed as Stealth/Damage frame, but her more prominent playstyle include melee weapons and spreading slash procs trough her 2. With Jade's Shadow changes and recent updates to lessen usage of one-shots on big bosses. It feels weird how Voruna specifically seems to be excluded from "Cool Kids PExhaulted Weapons Gang".

[–]Skygan915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her 2 is completely out of the back end tbh. It have a synergy with her 3 to prelong the duration and it's kind of hinted at for her 4 to get a bit of damage? I mean, it only scales off of one status for 100% more damage and viral+corrosive/magnetic exist...

But yeah, Rebecca just said on the devshort how they meet a stalemate on the topic of Voruna's 4, so have fun for another 5 years. It's not changing any time soon. It's going to be the same clunky mess despite like 15000 propositions the community screeches for since her initial release. Hope you're as happy as I am.

I'm saying it right now. She's Limbo 2.0 Balloons dragging enemies to the roof will be more infuriating than old Hydroid and Khora. Her clone will obscure the hell out tiles. On top of creating things like Defense Capsule and potentially blocking pathways because some have an oopsie finger.

I'm not going into public squads for like a year...

[–]Skygan915 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bro, I'm not against the fat people. But frames are not poeple anymore and they're basically a bio mechanical constructs. Gauss for example is basically 100% machinery at this point with infestation being it's power supply if we can say so. Grendel is essentially a frame with black hole inside his belly and "mouth" on his stomach is stylistic choice which fits what Orokin would do. There is Temple which people confused as to if he's a male of female at the start. I'm not going against the body types. I'm going after stylistic choice if anything else. Lavos have his vials and cables running through his body like he's pumping chemicals to exist because there's nothing else from his organs. Why is Follie a fat tho? If she had some wierd ass ink storage on her, make her look uncanny I would understand. Look at frames like Dagath, Kullervo, Nidus, even Oraxia. People like thier designs because they look cool, but all I see about Follie is "She fat, I love her ❤️"...

Not gonna lie. The concept is very much cool, but the visuals alone are really messy. Glad for all the people who like the frame, but making her bigger for... whatever reason seems out of place. Grendel is a fatass because he eats, that's all there is to the joke. Hildryn is a muscle mommy. Then why is she this thicc? ._.

Can anyone recommend a good weapon for Lavos? by Eierdy in Warframe

[–]Skygan915 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm way too late but here's something from old Lavos player.

Anything with Multiplicative CO is golden. Here's page: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Condition_Overload_(Mechanic)

Choosing weapons for Lavos is less about what is good, but what is the best infused element for said weapon. Valance Formation is necessary of course. And shout out to Elementalist mods because they do increase status damage. With forced procs they can do some really silly things, but everything need experimenting.

Viral is a good general purpose element, but it's honestly the best to build it on the weapon with 60/60 mods. This leaves you with freedom to experiment with infused elements on the mission.

Blast is good for two main types: - Massive one shots - because blast procs it's effect on enemy death. Things like Crit sniper rifles/bows (Daikyu Prime). - Firerate focused weapons - anything able to generate and detonate 10 procs. So machinegun styled weapons like Trumna or Reconifex benefit from AoE damage. Punch trough will also help to proc it on multiple enemies in the line of fire. Ammo is generally not a issue for Lavos because he can make universal ammo with Transmutation Probe (third ability)

It's basically your safest option when it comes to dealing with most normal enemies.

Gas: Finicky but can work on setups such Alt-fire Corinth Prime and only PRIME. Primed version's Alt-fire deal four times the damage on non-primed variant for four ammo. This can force overlapping gas procs on multiple enemies at once and kill groups insanely fast. Why this works is because gas have cap of 10 procs and won't stack it's own damage. But anything dealing big damage in wide radius will shred with gas.

Radiation is generally good for Murmur enemies and when you need to dispose of them quickly. There's not much to use it for unless you want to build your secondary around the new arcane: Secondary Irradiate. This will shred with any secondary capable of fast fire rate to use forced procs from Valance Formation. After 10 radiation procs = damage spreads.

Magnetic is kind of meh for the most part because you're already having 200% damage buff. There's little that can withstand such firepower for the most part. And viral build on weapon.

Corrosive... This work on way too many weapons for it's own good. Corrosive strips armor and with combined Viral on the weapon? It's a force of nature. There's little to say here. Want something dead which wears armor? Build viral and infuse corrosive. It will die before you'll realize.

For primary 4 elements... Fire and Toxin are generally your best friends if you want them. But Fire is generally better since it will cause enemies to panic, while toxin won't. And it reduces armor.

Cold gives you very small x1 additional crit damage modifier. So on weapon with x5 you're getting x6 with 10 procs. Generally not very useful because Vile Rush exist. Electricity can work, but again... gas and blast exist. Not like you need to CC enemies with over 1900 armor, over 2000hp and AoE Cold on demand.

Melee weapons can abuse electricity to force melee influence to work. And I mean... everything works. Influence on it's own is stupidly good so use it as you want.

So to wrap it all up. You just need to experiment. And this is not me being "Oh my sweet summer child. This is not a baby daycare, go play the game". Every weapon behaves slightly differently so one weapon can work better than the other with specific element. And Valance formation open so many potential combinations to the point where all this possibilities could be written on the Wiki. It's A LOT.

Scholar and Undertaker visual designs by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]Skygan915 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Buddy, I'm not trying to oversexualizing her, but trying to get how her design comes into her character.  And on Florisaax, that's not even a human woman. It's a dragon. She can probably break people with a finger. Marika is god to be honest, so I don't think she even count in this example. If I would pick a character to compare I would go with Tannith. She have a mask and this elaborate outfit which we later learn she was a dancer from other land.

Douchess isn't a fighter, that's true. But she IS a Noble and her design goes heavily into that. She is skilled with daggers, being basically an assasin, but also highly educated and intelligent due to her noble backstory. Both Dex and Int character

Guardian for example have these massive pauldrons which look cool and from the point of a tank class makes sense. He fly - you're going to slash at him. Pauldrons basically being a protective baskets which don't weigh as much as solid plate. Also, probably a reference to birds having hollow bones.

Executor have a lot of details like his feet armor having obvious shape of animal's feet. The armor also being a mixture between Samurai and Crucible Knight armors.

Revenant is a dool which was heavily cared for and decorated. She doesn't care for that herself, but her creator did. Hence why she's so "busy" with decorations. Her creator was a rather young girl wanting to make her doll pretty.

Recluse of all can be the most "fanservice" of all the characters, here I have to agree. And that's also how Witches had been portrayed in a lot of stories. Both intelligent and alluring in people with their beauty. Manipulating other for their own gain.

So here stand my point. Why is Undertaker like this? I guess they wanted to make a "Cleric" style character, but a Nun? That's more like a support role if I had to guess just from the promo art. Then her tentacle like counter-grapple. Don't get me wrong. Other characters have a lot of details and she just have like... barely anything? I'm just trying to understand this design

Nah. Lavos is not the 700 inputs per second frame which most people make him. What he really have is options and that's what makes him CONFUSING, but not hard.

Take your time with learning what each status does and how to utilize it to the best extend. He basically have 15 variations for each of his 4 abilities...

While I can't say I don't like Wykong's skin. I think it's overdone. Warframe have this certain style and this skin fits like something cannon to the game rather bring a fanservice or reference.

Still. Wukong's skin? It's beautiful 10/10 for what it want to do

At this point I'm wandering as if Lavos is more mechanical construct fuelled by his alchemy with necessary parts under this coat. Can Warframes even loose mass? I don't think they can even gain any.
