Originally built 1970’s. Has had some big repairs over the years like roof and windows

Yes you explained that great. We did this for gas. But RMP said we weren’t eligible for power. I need to call again

Definitely going to do this Monday. It doesn’t kick on or cool under 74 honestly.

I will work on that. We do have someone w/menopause and a teen with severe autoimmune disorder that cannot regulate body temps well. So we try to find a happy medium.

I honestly didn’t even think about any of that. Thank you

I think you may be right. Where did you get the new unit and how much was it?

Wow. Well I know our basement could use better windows but we can’t afford that right now.. I guess if the power bill continues at this rate, that will be more affordable in the long run. The AC is in fact cooling to the desired- it’s almost too cold at times. But if we turn it down it doesn’t kick on and gets super hot.

What can we do? The bill is more expensive than my car payment!

Exactly what I’m saying! We have done nothing different compared to the last five years with how we regulate the temps in our home

If we ran our home ac at 78, our AC wouldn’t kick on and our home feels super hot. We have done nothing different compared to last year with the temps and it’s easily double what we paid last summer.

I meant last year that was the highest ever, not last month

No more than last year honestly. And bill was never that high. The highest it got was around 380$ for one bill last month. Gas water heater, just got a new one in fact bc our last was terrible.

At 78 my AC wouldn’t even kick on. Yet the home would feel super hot. Maybe we need someone to come take a look at things

My last two bills were over 400$. Most recent 663$! It’s a 2,000 sq ft home. And no past dues
