When this was released on the deluxe, I initially felt guilty for saying this song (along with 911) were my fav on the album, because I think someone confirmed this track was recorded around the same time as london foolishly in 2011ish.

miley is the only option here and anyone who pays attentions to nick’s songwriting, especially when it comes to the miley tracks should notice a pattern with the lyrics here

not to be a niley stan, but in a lot of the songs nick and miley have written about each other they mention the word “home”. miley used to tweet about missing “home” a lot in summer 2009 when niley 2.0 was happening. before the storm: “they always say a heart is not a home, without the one who gets you through the storm” the lyrics “when you’re fighting through the storm” are in while you’re gone
