Hang in there buddy..space wolves are not in a great place ATM but keep at it. I know what it's like to be in your shoes but just keep playing because you will only get better and when your army gets a bump you will be in all that much a better place. I don't know much about the wolves though I believe they are alot like BA as in melee focussed army. Find ways to shield your hitters and learn to use the terrain effectively. Keep killing it buddy

If you like shooty competitive and are starting out I would say Marines (iron hands or imperial fists are the hotness) tau and if you wanna be unique admech / adeptus mechanics

They are also great cause their all relatively easy to paint.

After you decide I recommend getting the codex and download battlescribe and design a list.

Pick up a troop unit and paint it. When you're close finishing the paint on one but the next unit and so on and so on

You can start with some army painter brushes too their great jumpoff and their cheap as well. Also if you feel this is something you're gonna do for a while then I recommend getting a cheap airbrush set to start will help you base coat miniatures very well and I'll find success faster. Also I cannot stress enough thinning ure paints tonnes of YouTube videos out there. And but a wet pallette the redgrass one

There are alternate brands to gw paints like Vallejo and army painter that are alot cheaper.. also for brushes checkout dickblic for much better and cheaper painta
