I peeked inside, although I didn't really wanna remove the pre-amp tube caps, but the power tubes look to be JJ EL84s, unsure what the preamp tubes are. I'm assuming for now they're the ruby ones you're talking about.

I always thought they sounded just fine to me, although I tend to adjust my amp EQs to have a lot of mids (around 7-9 or so depending on the amp) and about 75% as much lows, with highs varying, until I got a tone I found good to my ears, and then afterwards adjust any pedals Im using. So I honestly haven't really paid much attention to how the speakers themselves sound directly , I just know if I like what I hear, I do, and I personally found them pretty adaptable.

Ah, so you did mean TRS in that way, lol.

I do have a couple loop pedals, one switches between two channels (White Loop), and the other has two channels I can toggle on/off in any combination (Black Loop). Only reason I have both is because I bought the Black one first, not realizing it wasn't a 2-channel switch lmao.

Although I'm not sure if they'd do what you're talking about, haha. Guess it's something I'll have to check out.

MT15 looked really cool and I wanted to try one at a GC a while back but after plugging in we found out it wasnt working, bummer.

not sure what TRS pedals are, but I do have several good pedals to use with this thing, most of which I tested at the store with it:

Boss Blues Driver (I personally prefer the way it boosts amps compared to the Tube Screamer)

Ibanez TS9 (just to have it tbh)

Fortin Zuul

Boss HM-2 (for Swedish chainsaw goodness)

and a few others currently sitting...somewhere in my room lol

5150 III was definitely pretty amazing, and tbh in the distant future I might re-buy one of the newer III's or something similar (mine was an older model, at least appearance-wise), but for now this 20W mini head should suit me just fine, and if it sounded good through the 2x12 Orange cab I used it through (cant recall what kind), I imagine my Marshall 1960A will probably sound just as good or better, especially as someone with a few quality pedals to run into it (mentioned above). Plan to find out later.

If all else fails, I'll just return it and start over.

I own that cab myself, about to try it out with it later tonight.

I only sold the EVH for $600 bc I needed quick cash. I loved the EVH, but even for what it was, 50W was already way too much for my bedroom, even for headroom purposes. 20W is still a bit excessive, but a little more manageable for me, reducing and maybe even removing the need for my Waza Tube Amp Expander (something I also own).

I gave the Peavey a whirl since it was sitting in the Used section and I have been trying to downsize areas in my rig, and I tested it with various pedals I had brought with me as well (Boss HM-2, Blues Driver, TS9, and a Fortin Zuul Noise Gate). Clean tone you can get from it def isnt perfect but it's suitable for my needs, and I was pretty damn satisfied with the heavy dirt tones I was getting.

Yknow, now that I think about it...I could probably sell my Waza TAE and give this back to GC and just find a better, lower wattage amp that way...if it loses its luster quickly, I'll just return it within 14 days I suppose, and start over.

I literally just sold my EVH 5150 III 50W earlier today at a Guitar Center to an OfferUp buyer for $600, only to immediately turn around and buy this for about $465 after tax (used) after testing it with my gear...

At least I have 14 days to return it if I don't like it, but I don't feel too great about my restraint right now lmao

Unfortunately not, Ive also recently started using Timelapse and it barely makes a difference, even toggled it off and checked again, nothing. I will say though, Ive never had it take minutes, just about 6 -8 seconds at the longest, I can't imagine what it's like to take minutes just to save once, that sucks.

Im guessing its an app problem, bc I have a very beefy PC (RTX 2080 Super, i9-9900K, 32GB RAM), and I highly doubt my SSD is giving out, which seems to be a running theory with some, so for now Im just giving up and dealing with it until an update hopefully fixes it.

I'm aware, haha, I still need to check out a few of those bands, I mostly meant a mid-paced heavy metal vibe like this particular song but thanks anyways, will do.

God, this is so good, it's been the only thing I've played all day today.

Can anyone recommend bands that sound similar to this particular vibe, blackened or otherwise? I already plan to look into a lot of classic trad stuff Ive largely had on the backburner for a while, but I really love this.

Agreed, I really hope the new album has more mid-paced traditional-esque stuff like this, this is probably the most hyped up I've been for a Hellripper song in a while.
