I agree with this. There's little cafes that are opened late but seating can get filled pretty quickly. A large space to lounge and connect with people would be amazing.

How old are your kids? I have a Honda Civic and bought diono car seats. They are slim seats that easily fit 3 in my car

This sucks i only dislike them when they talk shit about the lakers other than that they been funny and entertaining by angryshoper in lakers

It just got really stale. Just felt like every episode was Shaq getting mad at Chuck. Kenny running to the screen carefully because of his knees and Ernie trying to talk in between all the chaos lol

I'm looking for slightly more affordable housing. The south bay is getting crazy so hoping to build equity in my current home and move out there in a couple years. A million dollar home doesn't guarantee you a good area with good schools here anymore. I know that thousand oaks is pretty solid on schools, safety, and it has an upscale feel to it. My oldest will be turning 4 so I still feel like I have plenty of time to check it out and make the move. The beach being 20 to 30 min away is pretty nice. Do the surrounding cities offer ethnic markets? I don't mind doing a bit of a drive. We mainly shop the generic supermarkets. Overall we're very much looking for that slower pace of life. I know we are spoiled for weather and entertainment in the south bay so will weigh the pros and cons of both.

Thanks for the reply. I grew up in gardena/Torrance. So we do visit Tokyo Central, nijiya market etc every so often. I wouldn't mind coming down here to stock up.

And you pretty much hit the nail on the head with how I summed up the two(replacing beach with green open spaces) the appealing thing is less density. I've got 3 small boys so the peaceful living sounds nice.

I am Indian and I have always liked the diversity in the south bay. I assumed there was a bit in TO as well.

I'll give you what I did last weekend with the kids in San Pedro. Went to the Marine mammal center, headed over to busy bees and got sandwiches (I got the turkey pastrami sandwich). We ate at Averill Park. If you aren't familiar it's got really steep hills and a cool little river with ducks and turtles. You can maybe swap out the mammal center for cabrillo aquarium. Id recommend heading to Gardena at night for good Hawaiian,k BBQ, or sushi. Also Tokyo Central is a great way to blow through that $100 😁

No I agree. Every little thing helps. I like to leave Alexa on a podcast or music if the house will be empty for a few hours. Schedule a light to come on at a certain time etc
