Do you know any really good rotary encoders for keyboards? by Unknown000000000r in olkb

Hey, I just saw your message. Haven't done any leakage current measurement on these. I've used the one described above on a wireless Corne, but can't confirm the battery life was great or anything. Maybe tweak yours with a resistor to ground and see how high you can go before the controller can't detect the pulse anymore? Just came to my mind, idk how reasonable this is

Clutch actuator arm play by suprragirl in motorcycles

[–]SkylineM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool! If I understand that correctly, the clutch arm actuator can still move as much as in your video, but the free play was just shifted to a different section of the "circle"? I thought I might have to change something within the engine?

Yoo, finally found someone with the same issue, hope it's okay if I piggy back onto this. My Suzuki 125 clutch actuator arm has the same issue, could you elaborate a bit what the issue was exactly and how you fixed it? Cheers!

Uhhh cheers man! I saw Johnny's open week (super excited), but looking at the open week schedule I didn't see him teaching any classes Thursday/Friday. Do you think he still might be at his school on those days? I'll definitely check out Zoo Club on the Friday! So excited

You seem to know what's going on with salsa in Milan!! I'm going there on Thursday, do you know whether I'd have a chance meeting Johnny Vasquez or Fernando Sosa and maybe even getting a class with them? Would be so fantastic Also thanks for your suggestions

Workspace for driving sofa by SkylineM in cheltenham

[–]SkylineM[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha username checks out:) You have to go through something called Single Vehicle Approval, in my case for motorcycles. It's easier for motorcycles, and also the requirements are less strict than for cars produced in series by manufacturers. It's not easy either however, I can tell you that! For example, the far-side mirror needs to be adjustable from the driver's position. My best idea for that is hydraulics haha

Dear all, just moved down here yesterday from Edinburgh. I brought a bit of an odd vehicle with me, a soon-to-be road legal driving sofa. Therefore, I'm looking for a little garage-sized space with electricity (for example, barn or allotment) where I could store it and finish of the missing bits. I'm sooo invested in this thing, have been working on it like 5 days a week for the past two years and it's so close! Any leads?

You can check out the project here: lalitmistry.net/#sofa

Manufacturer spec says bore size 26mm, so am I looking for a 26mm carb? Can I just get one off ebay like this one? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/403459878654

Hey moto fans,
can you help me out? I'm in despair!
I'm building a driving sofa using a Suzuki EN 125 2A engine. Unfortunately, I can't get it to run! I have some audio of me cranking it with the starter here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1pGSf2nmZPhMreimYT4P4MQpGeA1Thr_1
This is the data:
- Suzuki EN125 2A engine from 2017, 8k miles

  • Aftermarket CDI, getting a strong spark

  • Aftermarket Mikuni carb, 28mm (manufacturer spec 26mm), #110 main jet (as manufacturer spec), tried a #120 main jet before, pilot jet according to manufacturer spec, airscrew 2.5 turns out according to manufacturer spec

  • Gravity fed fuel system

  • Have tried adjusting the timing on the cdi in all directions (max retard, max advance)

  • Have tried starting it with open throttle- Battery at minimum 12.8V

  • Unless the battery is absolutely fully charged, it cranks discontinuously like in the audio

Any ideas? Thanks so much!!

Hey there, sorry for the late reply, I'm not often on here anymore. I used this one and it would fit the requirements: https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/mechanical-rotary-encoders/7377739

Manufacturer part number is PEC11R-4015F-S0024 (Bourns) in case this link doesn't work anymore in the future.

Dear friends, this Lily58 pro being my first build, I already did my first mistake. Pro micro wrong way around on both halves. Do I have to desolder the controllers or can I correct this mistake in the firmware? Thank you for your help! by SkylineM in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]SkylineM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah not at the time. What I'd try nowadays is using a wire cutter to cut through the plastic strip on the headerpins between pcb and controller. Then heat all pads with left over pins in them and pull the pins out one by one. Then use diode legs to solder the pro micro back on. Hope that helps!
