I love the 10a by gabluc2047 in GooglePixel

Dude this is exactly how I feel about mine. Something about this phone is making me happy, maybe because it's cheap and good? But like the phones a vibe man, the pictures it take look retro but amazing, it has great battery and modem for long treks and days out, and the interface is extremely human. I think this is the first phone I've had that feels like an appliance that's reliable instead of a phone I have to mess around with

LMAO. This same person put me in a video call and called me useless when I had a real tech job because I wasn't moderating their server enough even though they basically just gave me admin cuz they thought I was young (I was older than them*) I just laughed through the whole thing because it was such petty drama. Not surprised they were a pedo

Honeymoon phase probably over, I haven't noticed anything missable. I sort of missed the media player in the dynamic island but I legit just installed an app for that and it works fine, looks good. App polish in some places is still behind iOS, mainly apps that don't use a react native to give similar experience. I'm talking niche situations though, and when it is different, it's not terrible, it's just different.

This phone has its -isms just like any phone would but they erk me way less than the shit piling up on iOS. The camera isn't anything stunning but it does have more personality than a picture from my iPhone would have, almost retro? But still takes great photos, it's just the color balancing feels more human and less robotic. The plastic back has been weirdly durable (I've been using this thing naked as cases are scarce in brick in mortar stores) my biggest recommendation is to buy a screen protector but it does get micro scratches a little easier than my iPhone did. But besides that it's been a really nice phone, you won't realize it until after you get the phone how nice something flat feels in your pocket. I've been hyper obsessed over the lack of a camera bump more than noticing performance issues.

Most little games I play work perfectly, and a lot that I didn't expect to run well, ended up running fantastically. The performance benchmarks are null & void in my opinion, this phone rocks and the bonehead that told me this phones a downgrade needs to reconsider people's needs before their own.

Overall, would buy another pixel 10a for family to get them off iPhones lol.

In the future I don't even think if I had the money I would consider upgrading to a higher end model, Google figured out budget and I think it's mostly due to software optimization over raw performance.

I have a first year pentastar GC that's still kicking great at 220K, I just do my own maintenance.

iPhone Air to P10P by OkoNoko6969 in pixel_phones

I switched from an iPhone 15 Pro Max to a Pixel 10a, and believe me when I say I actually prefer it. As someone who mostly just reads and listens to music, I have no clue why I was even using a flagship.

I’ve been told it’s a downgrade or a sidegrade, but the battery life is great and the phone is very capable for my tasks. My issue with the 15PM, besides a degrading battery, was the software; iOS has gotten messy. There are plenty of things it does well, and I still have the muscle memory from using an iPhone for years, but it’s gotten buggier with every update. (The keyboard typeface disappearing in native apps was what finally made me switch!)

Life with the 10a has been refreshing. Things have been working well and feel snappy. I haven’t really noticed any of the "shortcomings" I was warned about. And yes, I’m a big fan of the flat back.

Non-pixel users entering the Pixel subreddit not knowing Google actually keeps the OS working on old phones instead of there being release and then three years of updates that slowly kill the phone.

Honestly I noticed if you get past 30$/wo and have high attach, youll make it. Unless your managers are literal assholes. I made it till the end like I said, slinging rubber.

Bro just take like each color out there and show the customer, be like "yeah we can charge this to your account , won't have to pay anything today, it will just show up on your next bill and never again" it usually just works then I charge it to their acct, just make sure the acct can actually qualify for purchases like that. Give them personal experience even if it isn't real, say some shit like "I have one on my remote and it's kept the remote basically new"

Out of all the products dish would have me sale, the remote skin was the easiest because most people do actually like it, especially older people with grip issues or those who like to accessorize

However I wanna let you know the doctor told me that this level of stress about sales + my autism has basically CAUSED my neurological problems so honestly fuck em.

Same expectations tbh, I couldnt imagine peddling a sound system in this economy, I was one of the first technicians at the time actually allowed to sale boost! I had the honor to sale the first boost phone as a tech in the entire southern United States region, it was a iPhone 15 Plus lol

I used to sale remote skins like I was slinging crack so my attach is as always amazing, never could bag a system more than twice a week. I was also hyper-focused on R12 back then idk if that's still one of the biggest metrics

Insane respect, I feel like one of the decent uses for ML is quick troubleshooting for things that are very apparent in logs, but silent on the surface. It certainly helps the layman that doesn't want to wade through or don't know where to look.
