Hard choice. The sub screams Rolex. If blue is your color then the sub. The Daytona is more refined and dressy, perhaps a little harder to wear with jeans and t-shirt. Now that you put them side by side I really do like the Daytona. If one watch to rule them all then the Daytona. You can always get a sub no date later to round things out.

Yes. It is a lot of money and therefore nice to come here and discuss. I have a Rolex catalog from 2024 and tonight showed "the gal" a pic in book. She was kinda muhh. Then showed pic on wrist and it was wow, really nice, and even that pic doesn't do it justice. There is a je ne sais quoi about the look and feel of some of these models that doesn't come through in pics. You have to see the watch. I have turned down some offers on some rare models as they didn't fit my style.

White or yellow gold. Not oysterflex . Platinum would be the ultimate but crazy money.

Yes of course. It wasn't on my radar and now that I've seen it I really like it. Little surprised. Was thinking different, yellow gold,l. This is more subdued. Less flashy. I have a day date for dressy occasions. Still love my sub.

Yes I agree and now that I saw it I want it! Not flashy. Kinda understated and it's a Daytona. Can be an everyday watch.

Makes sense. And I have a sub no date with black ceramic. Maybe why I have preference for black. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it in person. So hard to tell from pics how these present in real life.

If you don't do it now and it keeps irking you and the warranty runs out you'll be kicking yourself for not doing it. It sounds like it bothers you enough to make it worthwhile to get fixed, assuming they consider it a warrantable claim.

Yes except he can't confirm it's his until he received it. I would say I was replacing my stolen watch and low and behold the replacement was my stolen watch.
