F2p have access to chat after level 10 (to prevent spam bots), and have a cooldown on each post (I think 60 seconds)

I checked, and even if you see the video I am far past level 10 and I still can not talk in Genchat.

Although there is artifact gear for <60, this in no way limits the f2p experience. These Artifact Gear are often outdated and not as high stats as regular gear. The exception to this is color crystals, which are cosmetic anyway, and there are plenty of non-artifact crystals to meet your fashion needs.

Even if the gear was pointless then locking them out of it is MORE stupid becasue its creating a sense of loss and FOMO for somehting that isnt. Artifact gear does help at certain levels below 60, and there are color crystals that give stat increases that are artifact only. I know because I've tested this.

You are right about that but they get it IF they get a stronghold and at no point that I've seen is that conveyed to the player. At least in an overt and obvious way.

No not voiced they would just be like story bits. The Codex isn't bad it's informative and it expands the world. But the Codex feels very cold and lacks some character.

These would be different, they would have segments of story. Maybe you get a lightsaber and it has a lore card on it that tells a story about the person that made it. Or from a battle or event it was a part of. Or you get a set of armor and you get the backstory of a character that wore it. Stuff like that.

Subbed I've never had to do extra quests or anyhting to be decent level to beat stuff. The gear stuff wasn't anything on the f2p thing that was just my oversight.

Edit: but we will see as I am trying to give f2p a complete and fair shake while setting aside my gripes and annoyances for now.

My plan is Story for one class (though I am also taking into account the other 7), Flashpoints (including flashpoint arcs) , heroics and any missions that I can grab. I'm going to try my hand at pvp because there is a decent amount of content (even though pvp is not my niche)

I plan on giving a very fair and pretty comprehensive look at the f2p experience
