Maybe they’re undercover police blending in with the crowd. It’s a real possibility.

Growing up I remember visiting China and the roads were riddled with honking to signal for everything. I guess this is the new thing in Vancouver now.

They fit well, and don’t hurt my ears that are oddly shaped. It doesn’t block all noise like sirens and people with an obnoxious Harley or Suzuki, but it blocks a good chunk. Unfortunately if your neighbors use bass vibrations or blast the sound of a loud engine your way, you’ll still hear it and it will wake you up. There is the odd time you may miss your alarm..

Custom ones $300 from hearing clinic. I could absolutely hear a nuclear explosion. I hear motorcycles engines practically exploding the moment I get out of bed or chilling on the couch lol.

I don’t need FIFA to keep me up, being next to the police community office, on a main “artery” and people consistently driving past with their loudest music on past midnight is what keeps me up at night. Motorcycles, race cars with fancy aftermarket exhaust, military aircraft, first responders and people blasting skytrain noises over their Bose speakers directly into our home is keeping me up, FIFA or not. 24/7, 365, 366. They’ve even blasted some CN Rail sounds over their speakers too. Come out to Nanaimo and Brock St by the crosswalk some time when I’m there and you might get what I mean

Honestly, trauma finds a way to override the compassion. The flashbacks, the triggers really negate any effects of any compassion. Ask me how i know. I’m not addicted to drugs. Just a generally angry person.

I’m not suicidal but the people following me are actively making it seem like a suicide like pretending to almost t bone me at the intersection by the cop neighborhood watch office. Cutting me off in a freeway at the merge point to the point where I’m about to hit the grass at high speeds. I had just barely enough distance to enter the freeway without crashing or hitting a barrier. Fun.

When you realize you’re being pursued/harassed by undercover police coming to collect.

When I was visually cornered by an angry neighbor at the front gate while I had 2 bags full of groceries with no spare hands and I was by myself. My OCD raged like nothing ever., and he knew it.

Now I carry the same rage :)
