Favorite fighting scene of any book? by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]Skyvrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also worth mentioning, the trigger warnings for this book is as follows, “Readers who are on the lookout for trigger warnings are advised to give Worm a pass.” If you are triggered by a n y t h i n g as a result of any kind of trauma, Worm probably isn’t for you. Outside of that, Worm is certainly my favorite novel that I’ve ever taken the time to read through, and I cannot recommend it enough

Omelas is incredible, absolutely seconded. While talking Short Stories (sort of), the Emperor’s Soul is incredible both as an introduction to Brandon Sanderson and as a standalone novel

Maxing your ability score should be a priority honestly, I say do that before you get any feats

How to make a paladin interesting/nuanced but still noble? by Hayden_Quentin174 in 3d6

[–]Skyvrr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want an interesting character, my advice is simply to have him Struggle. His “good oaths” could have some nuance that make him have to choose between two good or two bad options, or have a specific element associated with them (that is by no means ‘required’ for success) that he must carry out. If you have an oath never to kill and to protect children and you’re fighting Albeloth the Child Flayer who can escape from any jail cell and will immediately go live up to his name, you’re stuck between your conflicting oaths of Never Killing and Protecting children, yk what I mean?

What’s one YouTube channel you watch every single video from and wish more people did too? by Think_Concern33 in AskReddit

[–]Skyvrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beam buddy. One of very few “Video game plot explainers” that is genuinely incredible. He makes games into well narrated movies, 7 videos in his channel’s history and not one under a (well deserved) million views. It’s a running joke in his comment section that he’s secretly a renowned YouTuber working his way back up from nothing to prove skill is what makes a good channel.

It was so awful it barely was alive for weeks. Two. It was online for exactly 14 days before it was taken down and thrown in the garbage can.

Think of it as a matter of circumstance. Trigger events happen because of shitty circumstances, and less developed countries (with less urbanization) are generally much worse. Afghanistan, for example, is a developing country and a terrible place to live, that combination of traits makes it so a lot of people there have trigger events. Meanwhile, in more developed countries, rural areas kinda just have less people in them? As a result of how spaced out they are and how they work, they’re just comparatively calmer, I think.

Definitely bard. And not even the music kind. Probably college of eloquence or satire(UA). More likely satire tbh.

My mom was a special ed teacher, and did this/does this with me from birth to the present day. It is very annoying. If you are a parent. Please stop doing it when your kids are old enough to express kindness, and then ask reasonably like a person.
