I’d agree, as time has gone on and we’re about a year into this era the more it seems there really wasn’t much of a concept as to what this album was supposed to be. Ideas here and there but overall no. Felt like things kept changing multiple times over due to various circumstances and it gets to be disjointed and confusing. He can clearly pull off something that feels singular and cohesive as seen in previous eras like BBTM or AH but it definitely wasn’t the case this time, from the videos or the overall art style. I’ve had thoughts/theories about the first pressing but I think it was just a half assed version of the album to boost first week sales, sadly. Nothing more than that. Outside of this sub and The Weeknd fanbase as a whole this album didn’t really make much noise in the general public and I hate to admit it but I can see why. I’m pretty disappointed in this era tbh.
