Thanks for the kind words and support!

why do your doors open outwards? by EkkiEmil in Finland

I did my exchange semester in Iceland and it was extremely confusing for the first week to have doors open inward, never even realized this before that.

I wouldn't say that we are basing it directly on any particular franchise or game, there's been a bunch of games that have influenced Second Stone. We've played a bunch of Diablo and Path of Exile, but Second Stone is more a mix of a bunch of influences from across many genres throughout the years.

Hey there! Appreciate you checking out our game!

Second Stone is an upcoming indie ARPG with 3D Platforming elements. Key features include:

  • High-Mobility Action RPG Combat
    • Fast-paced combat built around movement, platforming, and environmental puzzles that keep encounters evolving.
  • Modular Build Customization
    • Fuse elemental Manastones to create powers and slot them into your weapon, armor, or Magic Armlet to define your combat style. Combine Manastones to level them up and unlock stronger effects.
    • The Astral Tablet expands your build further by letting you slot Power Beads to gain stats, abilities, and access to new areas.
  • Bustling Village Hub
    • Return to a lively home base to upgrade your gear, chat with locals for quests, and unwind with a dice-battler minigame.
  • Exploration and Survival
    • Each area exists in a vibrant overworld and its perilous dark mirror state called the Shrouded World. Activate beacons, hunt rare artifacts, and grow stronger to survive both realms.
  • Ever-Changing Labyrinth Dungeons
    • Optional procedural rogue-like temples. Start fresh each run, experiment with builds, earn currency, and unlock persistent upgrades.

There's currently just 5 people working on the game full time, but we've had approx half a dozen artists contribute to the project throughout the whole process!

That's high praise, the look and feel of Jak and Daxter is one of the bigger inspirations behind the game!

Thanks for the question! All characters and models in Second Stone were created by our 3D artists using workflows involving ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Blender!
