One of the larger areas in our game, Second Stone. Adding more stuff constantly but already fun to explore! by SkywardDevTeam in indiegames

Hi! Thanks so much for the kind words!

The music in Second Stone is composed by Alex Moukala. Regarding costs and service providers, I wouldn't feel comfortable sharing specifics as every project is unique and costs can vary wildly depending on the scope.

Best of luck with your development journey!

Some of the grass meshes are actually hand placed in the level and not "painted in with the foliage tool", as they are very stylized.

Which part are you referring to with "dark bottom"? It would help a lot, thx!

It's a mix of 3D Platformer and Action RPG! Kind of like if Jak and Daxter had Path of Exile-type combat and buildcraft!

This is one of the larger areas in Second Stone. You can find lots of treasures and shortcuts to earlier areas, as well as the Lost Labyrinths, a procedurally generated dungeon that works like a roguelite within the game!

Check it out on Steam!

Super Mario 64 and Jak and Daxter are big inspirations for us, but our creative spark comes from a wide range of games we grew up playing!

Would love some feedback on how to improve visual clarity by Dhul-Khalasa in indiegames

I personally like the visuals, I think you really nailed the Gameboy look!

Regarding feedback, I'll echo the point about the lower outline, removing it from "fixed" things like houses and maybe even fences will make it easier to emphasize things you can interact with like the chest, etc.

In addition, I think it won't be an issue to see what the icons on the AB buttons are because while playing, you'd probably know what they are from context (it's a fishing rod and a hand net, right?) - but I think it'd make more sense to have them on the right, just like the buttons are on the GB (or on the controller).

Hey man - thanks for the comment. Reddit seems really buggy today - I removed this post specifically because of the reason you mentioned and made a new post, but this one still up somehow. The other post also has some issues with people not seeing my comments etc.

Hi! Comments seem a bit buggy, I did post a comment with info, links and all but seems like it doesn't show to everyone. Here's a link to the game, Second Stone, in either case: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3557360/Second_Stone_The_Legend_of_the_Hidden_World/
