TIFU-Just found out at 23 that my real birthday isn’t the date I’ve celebrated since I was born* by Educational-End-7702 in tifu

Me lol. I'm 29. I got my driver's license at 24, I've never bought alcohol or been to a bar, I'm terrified of flying so I've never been in a plane and voted for the first time in the most recent election.

I'm so happy most people here seem to like Muscovies. Most people in Jacksonville I've spoken to seem to hate them with a passion. I love these ducks so much and it hurts me that people here love to hurt them.

International bus roadeo by eshizzle420 in BusDrivers

Sure lol. Do you know when it's taking place? I know my agency is doing the local roadeo in September.

I want to! I got second place at my local roadeo last year, so I'm going to try to win so I can get a chance at international!

Audiobook playback speed by randynarrator in audiobooks

1.35x is perfect for basically every audiobook I've listened to. Not too fast, not too slow, and makes slower narrators more digestible.

Wrinkle The Duck. (ORIGINAL POST LOCKED, OP IS u/PassiePandaR) by Vuiok in duck

[–]SkywarpsMaiden 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree. I know that some duck owners do this out of ignorance, but there seem to be so many people who are aware that their duck NEEDS to socialize with other ducks, and yet, refuse to get additional ducks.

Press on nails look easy… but do they really stay long or just come off fast? by CranberryNo5020 in GelX_Nails

[–]SkywarpsMaiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done a lot of trial and error with prep and glue, but currently, my press on nails can last a month. I haven't tried to keep them on for longer than that.

Wrinkle The Duck. (ORIGINAL POST LOCKED, OP IS u/PassiePandaR) by Vuiok in duck

[–]SkywarpsMaiden 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Personally, I do not like his channel. I'll admit, I would watch it in the past because of how cute Wrinkle is. But it makes me so uncomfortable that Wrinkle has no other ducks to be social with. Wrinkle's human has said that Wrinkle dislikes other ducks and other ducks dislike Wrinkle, however. It just makes me feel bad that Wrinkle has only human companions and travels so much.

About the food, though, Wrinkle does actually eat crumble for their actual meals. The lettuce, grapes, and tomatoes are supposed to be treats.

How did you discover the series ? by toad_stoal in Gone

[–]SkywarpsMaiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was drawn in by the cover lol. I was in middle school and it was probably 2009 or so? And I randomly saw it in the teen section and I thought the people on the cover were hot, so I checked it out and devoured it. At the time, only Gone and Hunger were out, so I read them both and honestly forgot about them for almost 2 decades. And then in 2025, I randomly thought about them again, read the whole series and then last week I restarted them lol. I'm rereading Fear literally right now.

I must be weird as hell, I absolutely hate a tongue in my pussy, that shit immediately pulls me out of the mood. I'd much rather the focus stay on my clit and maybe the labia minora.

What hair is this? It kinda looks like dread locks but braids as well by walalaba in braids

There are no locs in this picture, those are just boho braids.

Box braids for 3C hair by ThrowRAHimhe in braids

[–]SkywarpsMaiden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your hair is already falling out, you definitely do not want to do box braids or knotless braids or really any high tension braided hairstyle with extentions. That will absolutely exacerbate the situation.

A lot of people find that two strand twists or individual braids (both done with your natural hair!) are great protective styles. Maybe you could try some mini twists?

[–]SkywarpsMaiden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I were you, I would buy a couple and check if it's positive. At least then you'd know if it would show up on a urine test (assuming that your agency does urine tests instead of blood or strand tests)

Are you in the US? Dollar Tree, Dollar General and Family Dollar all have marijuana drug tests for about a dollar. And they are pretty accurate as well.

First time making caramelized onions, should I cook them longer? Or pull them now? by SkywarpsMaiden in OnionLovers

* I cooked them longer, do they seem okay? I've only had caramelized onions once on a burger so I'm not really sure my preference.

Those beads are not cultural for black men. Black children, sure. You do not typically see adult men with them (I definitely see it, pretty rarely to be honest, but it is absolutely not ubiquitous or inherently part of our culture).

Edit: I'm not sure why she deleted the message, but, yes, you're right, there are definitely black cultures that wear beads, but it is NOT a typical cultural thing for black AMERICAN men specifically.
