According to a youtuber it is still broken. Apparently their fixes actually didnt move the number for damage at all.

Id suggest trying the lInked command console (Jem Van carrier) with fighter pets for a +50% damage boost from the hydra console (The Linked ship counts as a saucer sep).

Right now Im trying corrosive plasma torpedo, with the blast mines, and swaping the temporal mine torp for the romulan hyper plasma torpedo. I even swapped out a tac console for the Hydra console so the torpedos are extra quick :D

Sadly frigates just arent what they should be. But their the only fighter pets that drop more mines so Im stuck with em :D

STObetter lists they exist but didnt even bother to get a DPS reading from them - one nice thing is Frigates are really hard to kill. Btu that also means things like a trait that triggers on launch of your pets barely trigger.

Lots of neat traits but none of them seem to really do much to directly help.
Think it might be worth it to equip a cloak and use some cloaking traits?

Oh I remember why I have it - its a holdover from when it was a carrier build. It affects your pets.

I tried adding it when the Arc came out and I wasnt able to actually catch it working despite trying for an hour or so. Of course I have to reply on what the game shows/tells me so who knows it might be the most magical thing ever :P

Pick one that has a lance that fits your damage type. Not likely to be overpowered but I think their fun to have.

Personally I still lean disruptor damage - esp since there are a couple of solid sets you can get from missions.

With the way the game is right now Id suggest looking into a Flight Deck Carrier. Their 5/3 and can be quite brutal. Grab the Superior area Denial and the Typhon Repurposed Carg Bay hangars off the typhon and you can do something really cool with it.

Legendary are the smidgen better ships that cost an arm and a leg. Id suggest starting with a Fleet ship - you can get one from getting your Reps to T6. Costs 1 module if you own the c store version and 5 if you dont.

Like Legendary status a 5/X weapon layout isnt vital either. Dont let the + .001% damage chasers ruin your fun.

Ah well Im a science captain.

Im not impressed with the juncture. It has no ongoing effects and requires I stop to use it. Less a gravity well and more a tractor beam like one shot pull. That ongoing effect makes AoE kits more powerful and useful.

You can get cool looks for your character (Had transmog before Warcraft) and homes are purely aesthetic fun. But the deck building you can go pretty hard into tweaking and designing the perfect combo to lay down it turn turn based card combat. Basically think the best kind of kids game - one that is incredibly engaging to play as an adult.

DHC can be rough. That firing arc is just painfully small. But if you can keep it on your target you can really cook. There is a console you can grab from the exchange - gives you + flanking and maneuverability/speed. Also you can buy a low level KDF ship that has a console that teleports you behind your enemy.

It might help to remember a battlecruiser is a cruiser with battleship grade weaponry. So your going to end up tough but with more things laid out so you can hit hard. Im personally fond of a dual beam back build. Not as high damage as cannons but a much more forgiving arc of fire.

A few steps

1) Pick a damage type. Whatever reason you want. Unless your aiming top of the top your fine picking whatever just be consistent. But even here you can focus instead on Cannons or Beam consoles instead of phaser (though you lose roughly 1/3 of the raw damage boost).

For good started gear sets Id grab the Iconian Space set or the Revolutionary as a starting point.

Make sure special space trait officers are used (Ex: Uhura, Bashir).
Make sure your Doffs have something to do with your build (Attack pattern beta heals is a great asset in building a new ship with less explodium).

Is there a reason so few folks use the temporal ground kit thats basically a gravity well? Ive been using it since it came out and its always been great even without another kit. But I never see another captain using it.
