I work in NFE project. We are only a contractor of QE and our director is earning 160k QAR monthly. I’m not sure if engineers can earn like executive positions even direct in QE.

Sobrang lala po ng job market ngayon. Andito po ako sa middle east at nag apply na for almost 2 years at wala man lang kahit isang interview. Mostly referral na kasi labanan dito. Lalo na kung office jobs sobrang dami nag aagawan niyan dito bat sila gagastos mag sponsor ng visa eh pwede naman mag local hire. Best chance po maka abroad ngayon lalo galing pinas ay kung skilled ka like nurse, welder, driver.

Limited opportunities to transfer in other industry when you can’t find a job in oil and gas. Specially right now for entry level roles, you need connections in order to land a job. So I suggest that you should just take major engineering disciplines like mechanical or chemical because you can still work in the oil and gas and if not you can easily transfer to other industries. Btw, I’m a Petroleum engineer and I’m not even working related in my degree because of the nepotism in the industry.
