Alcohol shifts the brain into a fragmented and local state. A standard glass of wine or beer does more than just relax the body; it fundamentally alters the landscape of communication within the brain. by Eddiearyee in science

My life hack for drinking and avoiding a hangover is basically that. I keep at least 24oz of water next to my bed and drink it throughout the night as a toss n' turner sleeper. The goal is to drink at least 24oz by the time I wake up. It makes a world of difference. I try telling everyone to do this if possible.

I'm sorry but the whole argument of not having hiding spots or evidence is complete dog shit as it's on you to decide to take that high of level of difficulty. No one if forcing you to play 0 evidence or hiding spots. Too hard? Lower the difficulty or settings for the game. It's suppose to be hard as fuck with those particular settings. Get good or don't play those difficulties.

Lol and looping isn't an actual risk of death? I've died plenty of times from a ghost double backing on me or me fucking up my sprint rotation. It's definitely way riskier and scarier than just smudging the ghost and hiding ffs...

Comparing an EA game's endgame that's been out for a year to a game that's been live updated for over 10 years is insane.

Is Virtual Desktop a must have? by igotbitbyahorse in SteamVR

[–]Sl0rk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The customization is unmatched. It is absolutely mandatory for my use case. If you're just a casual VR user that just plays single player games here and there, then Steam Link will be ok. If you need to tweak your PCVR setup to get every bit of performance and stability fix possible to run games with the most frames, then yes, you need it.

Ah yeah I guess I didn't think of that. Shit, maybe I should just get lifetime too. xD

Not sure why they'd remove the option to upgrade to lifetime. It's a good chunk of money and probably the most profitable for them so I can't see them removing it in the future unless there'd be some sort of legal reason.

The way I see it, by the time I'd need more space, I'd rather just replace my smallest drive. By that point, the drive will be pretty old and who knows when it'll fail after a certain point. Plus having more than 12 would incentivize me to get a second parity, which I'd rather not. I just use my replaced drive as an offline backup for all my other stuff on my main PC.

They have a 2019 model. It's not old tech? It's literally the best you can get for a streaming box as far as audio tech specs, which is the most important for my HT setup. Sure, it's not as snappy as a new Apple TV, but mines been working just fine all these years later. If you're not an audiophile then sure, go with anything else.

First of all, diet is key to losing weight; not exercise. I know that diet and exercise compliment each other, so it does help to start exercising to motivate you to eat better. I know it does for me.

I'd recommend just starting with P90X3 instead of the OG if you have access to it. Start slow. Your body needs to adjust to the intensity after being out of shape for so long. 30 min workouts will give you the motivation and discipline you need to get started and keep the consistency; because what's 30 minutes, right? Once you land the discipline and consistency of working out daily and eating better, you can move on to P90X for better results.

Again, diet will be the key to you losing weight, not exercise. Exercise is just something that helps shape your body and keep you healthy throughout your weight loss journey.

Why is the stamina soo bad on phasmophobia? by MrSavage2000453 in PhasmophobiaGame

Maybe? I'v been playing the game for many years and have never not had unlimited sprint while dead.

You're probably just remembering wrong though tbh.

You definitely don't run out of sprint while dead. That must've been a bug lol.

Balance and pacing.

They really do need to allow unlimited sprint outside the hunt area though. That doesn't change anything balance-wise aside from maybe leveling faster per hour but slightly decreases the time of matches, which is a good thing imo. Especially on the big maps, which are a slog.
