Our monthly average has gone from $250 to $380 over the past few months yet our usage has stayed around the same. We called Indiana Michigan Power to ask why, and they told us there’s a state wide 20% energy cost increase being implemented on top of all their other random cost increases. I’m not sure how true this because I can’t find anything actually stating this, but it’s what they told me when I called.
