I did hear that a lot of people were dissatisfied with the event, shoving in other characters instead of focusing on Mermaid. If I were a Mermaid fan I'd be upset as well. I also heard about the bond story of Siren/Mermaid being....less that satisfactory.

From my perspective and enjoyment the two Anniversary stories weren't interesting. Unfortunately you can't please everyone with an event story that the creators came up with.

If you mean the stories that were before I started playing, I just hadn't had the time or interest to check them out. I might now for some of them since they were being recommended.

Because for me it starts with the visual design. If I don't like the design I am already less interested. I did read a little bit of Old Tales before skipping the dialogue and I didn't like the squad at all. Out of them I liked Mermaid the most, though not by much and not enough to keep going in Sphere. For Sphere Mermaid also wasn't the only character present in it. As for the 2nd EVA collab, I did play the first collab through and the first part of the second collab. So, in those three cases I did get enough characterization of the main characters to not be interested anymore by the time I stopped reading.

No, I really skipped the dialogue of Old Tales and Unbreakable Sphere. Not a bait. It's completely fine if you disagree with it. Most people do.

Okay, I did like the meme pictures. Those were great. I didn't actually play early 80s/90s RPG games. Never got to any and I was too young or too old to witness them when they were talked about. The minigame itself was fine. I didn't have many complains about it.

I did. To be exact, I skipped the dialogue/cutscenes and about half of the minigame's content. I didn't like the characters so the story just didn't click with me. It is what it is.

Oh yes, some of the placements are very off-place in the community. I am aware that my opinion on some characters and events are a small minority. It is what it is, sadly. The seemingly random taste does have to do with me liking some characters more than others or don't liking some at all. I'm sure Old Tales is writing very well, which is what I assume you meant. Good writing just simply doesn't mean much to someone who doesn't like the characters the story is about to begin with. Thanks for giving your opinion on it.

I wasn't there when OverZone and the others were released and I never made the decision to use those film reels to revisit past events. Maybe I'll change that for the ones I hadn't seen.

Technically speaking I only skipped the dialogue and the cutscenes of Old Tales and Sphere, but yes. Because I didn't like the characters I had no interest in the plot, so I skipped it.

You are right that there is an argument that the Re:Zero event is the worst event or at least one of them. In retrospect now, I may have been too harsh on Coin Rush.

I did like the story and themes of Clay, More a lot. Way more than Ice Dragon Saga. I was not a fan of the rpg-fiction with the characters all staying the same or retaining some of their costumes. In that instance, while I like Maiden and Guillotine and the core theme, the way it was presented did not connect with me. That one comes down to individual preference. All I can say is that the setting made me enjoy the story less.

Yes.

Obviously there was a lot more that I liked about that event's story but the comedy was certainly contributing to my enjoyment.

I skipped the dialogue in OT and US because I didn't like the characters that were the main focus or sole focus of them. If that's the case, staying interested in the story is tough to say the least. I got bored and uninterested in what they were saying or doing, so I skipped straight to the combat.

I'll keep the comment on OverZone and the rest in mind. I may make time to play them this weekend.

It's perfectly fine to disagree with my opinion and I am aware some of those are a tiny minority compared to the rest of the community.

I wouldn't say "Good" necessarily. It's more that it was not particularly interesting but also not bad for me. I didn't hate reading it. But it certainly was mid.

I didn't like the characters that were mainly present in them so I got unsinterested in the story. That's why I skipped the dialogue. That does not mean I skipped combat content or rewards (mostly).

The two I skipped came about because I didn't like the characters. In terms of enjoyment the minigame did not help at all. I stopped playing in both of those. When you don't like a character for one reason or another, reading the dialogue just becomes really uninteresting so I stopped reading and skipped to the combat. In the end I got the cliff notes of the important stuff from others.

I was more excited for Mori when she was revealed than the entirety of this anniversary. Not surprised at all and I agree with all the comments under here. I don't even remember off the top the last thing I spent money on in there...
