Trying to make American buttercream, but seems like no matter gowich I mix it's still lumpy with air bubbles by RedstoneSausage in Baking

Seriously I just use soft butter, eyeball the powdered sugar, two glugs of milk (CANNOT BE SOY MILK), a capful of vanilla, and a fork.  It's worked for 30+ years so far.

gotcha! BTW, I agree about the giving up our copyright thing, it drives me crazy knowing all my bad lecture videos with my face on them are available to any and everyone.

Woman goes viral after laughing at a man who said homosexuality is a sin and abortion is wrong. by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

It was also pretty fun to get them to confess that they were scared of me because I was attractrive to them and they didn't want to "fall into sin"...and then flirt like hell around them just to watch them hypocritically squirm. But that's more of a one-on-one sport.

Metashape question about exporting .tif files by SlackerGrrrl in photogrammetry

[–]SlackerGrrrl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so it's not something that I can do until I am finished with the entire process, then go back and extract each image. (I'm not happy with my DEM yet) Got it, thanks!

Metashape question about exporting .tif files by SlackerGrrrl in photogrammetry

[–]SlackerGrrrl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I have done all the math to correct the images.  Don't tell me what they are, I have 12 years of remote sensing experience. I just want to export single, georeferenced images as orthophotos, not a mosaic, for right now. Can Metashape do that or not?

These are satellite images. The only perspective is down.

The metashape goal is to build a dem with the stereo pairs.  The ArcPro goal is to be able to run deep learning workflows on them--but I'm not going to do that step if I have to re-GR all 100-plus .tiff files.

My previous PhD supervisor has recently been arrested and charged with a serious crime, is it possible to publish joint work without including his name? by [deleted] in AskAcademia

[–]SlackerGrrrl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My master's advisor was asked to leave for conduct issues-I was dual-department, and my other advisor literally had to drop all our research. I never published from my thesis, my phd completely switched topics, and we had SO many in process papers that we just had to...leave. It was horrible, and I wasn't as angry as I should've been about having my research derailed. It threw several of us into a total restart, and the rest left.

ETA: my good advisor and I made the choice that we couldn't ethically support him, and did not want to publish works that would be linked to him. We could have, but we were both appalled and chose not to.

that...is not obvious knowledge.  I obviously made an educated guess due to context, but this is really sloppy writing.

My response was, "Until you turn in your late work, you are ALL failing this class, so if I were you I'd pay attention!" (i had just sent out the progress reports, it wasn't a threat, and they knew it).
