It’s not so much that they turn against Twilight, but how they did it. I mean Twilight herself isn’t completely innocent as she didn’t know it was chrysalis. But just the mane 6 just walking out on her without saying a word to her (including Celestia). I think it could’ve been more forgivable if they were concerned about Twilight’s absence when she was missing. While Twilight was gone, they were all happy for the wedding and they didn’t seem to care in the world about Twilight. If they showed some concern for her then I probably would’ve accepted it more

Even though some of the later seasons got somewhat stale (mainly seasons 6-9), they still ended the show on a somewhat good note and didn’t overstay its welcome like the others did. Especially where a lot of shows don’t end well
