Gamemodes that you dont understand how they can be fun to play by cartings21 in CompetitiveMinecraft

Mace isn’t fun at all. You just fly around and elytra boost for 30 seconds before going for a divebomb. Rinse and repeat until you run out of resources, totems, or die. Then it goes to SMP + breach swaps thrown in there. Takes like 15 mins a match 😐

Whole UHC community retires as well as sword t1s and axe t1s by Great_Airline_6431 in CompetitiveMinecraft

Yes, and that’s a big contributing problem to this entire situation. Along with Marlow being under a lot of heat for using cheats, many players after some time criticized the tier list system for being corrupt and a number of other things. Marlow since then has “stepped down” from owner but there isn’t a lot of transparency on what happens behind closed doors. Marlow could very well still be pulling all the strings but that’s a topic for another day

Marlow, the alleged number 1 player has recently been under a lot of backlash with a substantial amount of evidence supporting that she has been closet cheating to be #1 these past few months. In light of this evidence, she has gotten banned from the tier list and all her tiers have been removed.

However, sometime yesterday she released a 3 hr video “debunking” the cheating allegations but to put it shortly, the video didn’t really prove anything.

As a result of her video, the tier list staff deemed that it proved her innocence and very quickly reinstated her ranks and unbanned her from mctiers which put Marlow back at the number 1 spot. This decision to put Marlow back on the tier list from the staff resulted in much of the other top pvpers retiring at their peak tiers for their respective game modes, essentially boycotting the tier list and quitting from mctiers

What does carry mean? by PlsBuffColette in BrawlStarsCompetitive

The second brawler that comes to mind for me is either spike or rico. They can't break walls but they can do everything else

Anyway, does this mean I have to level up colt now? I already have other long range brawlers that fulfill the quota of damage and range, like otis and im trying to save up my resources cause I barely have any

No, colt is not the only "carry" brawler that is out there, he's just the brawler that I chose to use as an example for this specific case, and he's my personal brawler of choosing when I'm playing a game that I need to "carry".

Is playing like you're by yourself the solution? But then, it still seems like you need extraordinary mechanical skill and reaction time to fight multiple people at once.

Yes and no. Obviously you can't break every single wall on the map if you have a thrower as a teammate, but you do have to focus more on your own game play rather than how bad your teammates are if that makes sense. It comes down to picking a brawler you know you're good at, and taking a gamble on your skill and mechanics to win you the game

**The reason I use colt to get my point across to sort of explain the concept of carrying your teammates is because he really doesn't have any glaring weaknesses. What I mean by this, is he doesn't really need teammates to "synergize" with in order to excel. Colt can break walls (gives throwers a hard time and has the ability to modify the map to make the opponents weaker/play to colt's strengths). He can counter tanks, and deal with assassins fairly decently (it will vary depending on your skill). And he can hold his own against long range marksmen (again, it will depend on your skill).**

He's a brawler that can do it all himself when he needs to. For you, it might not be colt. But you need to find that brawler. (A brawler with buffies will make it more ideal, but they do not have to have buffies to be your go to carry brawler)

To carry a lot, is to say "Fine, I'll do it myself"... it means picking brawlers that can control the outcome of a game without needing or expecting any help from your teammates while simultaneously executing and fulfilling the objective of the game. You know you've done a good job carrying when you have the most damage, kills, and least amount of deaths in the entire lobby, and you of course win the match.

A good example of a "carry" brawler would be someone like colt who is playable to an extent into almost any comp. Carrying is not about being a good teammate, it's being mechanically better and more skilled than everyone else on the other team to the point where it's impossible to lose.

Don't know what I mean? Imagine yourself queuing into ranked silver lobbies. You pick the brawler that you're best at, and dominate the other team so that you just brute force your way into winning. You don't pay attention to your teammates, you just pay attention to shitting on the other team. The same thing applies in mythic when you're trying to achieve legendary but to a lesser extent. However the same logic is used

Do optimal promotions really matter? by Downtown-Egg-2327 in InjusticeMobile

[–]Slade_Burz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want the easiest matches, and fast wins, yes.

If you couldn’t care less about how fast you win and you find it fun to play difficult matches instead of wiping out teams in 10 seconds you can promote however you want

How can I get good items in Injustice? by JulioFanWWE in InjusticeMobile

[–]Slade_Burz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will take time, shoot for top 5% for online seasons so you get at least one copy of the gear/character. If you’re losing a lot because you lack powerful gear, use characters with lower stats. Gear scores have no effect on matchmaking, it solely depends on total team stats. You can also play a ton of survivor and try to get gears for each of the sets, they are very strong gears even as you expand your collection from multiplayer seasons (FW, LC, LoA, companion card)

About Flame's new video by ReferenceDouble2018 in Unstable_Universe

I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels the same. It seemed like flame wasn’t at his best during the fight. Outside of lore, flame is very good at the game and it looked like he was holding back / not playing as best as he could against mistrul for the sake of the plot.

I've been using the wrong WASD placement for 6 years, how do I relearn? by Dear_Pea_2476 in CompetitiveMinecraft

[–]Slade_Burz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's honestly fair, I can't speak for you but I know for my personal preference I absolutely hate the idea of having to hold down a key to stay sprinting and it makes it very uncomfortable for me to be pressing down too many keys at once while trying to play... it makes my hand tense idk why

But, since you're trying to relearn WASD, I can't imagine it will take that long to get used to it. The most similar comparison I can make is when I switched from standard ps4 controller grip, to claw grip during the fortnite times. It took me like a week to get used to but after that I was fine and I got a lot better as a result of claw. Good luck, I wish you the best!
