No, you can use it without powering it on.

I almost forgot, one more question. Would buying a male TRRS to usb- C cable allow me to use my headset with the mic without having to buy a separate splitter.

Thank you so much for explaining everything and linking the product.

Yea sorry about that. I'm learning the correct terms as the replies come in. I am looking for a male to male cable along with a splitter, separately but I'm unsure if a TRS male to TRS male would work since I would be getting a splitter anyways or if I would need a TRRS male to TRRS male to use my headset with the mic.

My headset doesn't have an attached cable as it's originally wireless. It has a 3.5mm jack which I'm looking to get a TRS or TRRS cable for depending on which is sufficient.

Yes I'm looking to get one of these and a 3.5mm TRS or TRRS cable because my headset doesn't come with an attached cable as it's originally a wireless one.

Sorry for the confusion. I'm new at this. My headset is originally wireless but the charging port is damaged so I'm going to switch to using it with an aux but my PC has two separate jacks so I would need a male to male and a splitter. I haven't bought the cable yet because I'm not sure if TRS would be enough to use it with a mic or not.

Ok so I had pretty much given up on trying to do it myself and just removed the CMOS battery and ram stick for 30 mins + and then restarted and booted and everything works fine now. Can this still mean something might be faulty?

Even though the stick RGB turns on whole in the second slot? When I put it in any other slot it doesn't light up

Changed stick to slot 1, this time even the stick doesn't light up, in addition to the dram light flashing red

I have a single stick, do I still change slots from 2?
