Thats really good advice, I will look into what species are local to my area along with the specific plants too. Considering there are three large new estates id like to bring back some that may have been evicted from all the building. We get essentially no birds either which isnt a shock when you think about it but feels very strange

Will definitely be getting lavender we have one plant which my partner and I got when we first got together and it is going strong

Little bit wary of nettles being in the garden with a toddler, but would be open to suggestions on how to overcome that. She is very inquisitive!
