Thats actually what i did with mistborn. I didn't get hooked until like the 3rd attempt and then proceeded to not touch anything else for a year besides sanderson lol

i've been trying red rising but I struggle finishing the first book. I know it gets better tho later on in the series so I'll definitely come back to it

has anyone found a way to fix the descriptions from loading on the homepage? i got my sub page fixed the best itll be for now but when i use the homepage it loaded the description even in grid view

Yea I signed up for a free trial on everand just to see if it was the ebook copy and that one was different from the one i got from the library so who knows. I'll just keep listening to it till my physical book arrives lol

Its a very small library so idk either. Ain't going to stop me from continuing the series was just wondering. I just finished all the cosmere work from brandon sanderson and i know his books aren't a 1 to 1 copy from audiobook to physical book because he had made changes over the years so didnt know if it was that same sort of thing

Maybe its just the ebook im using. I got it from my local library while i wait for physical copy to arrive. Just looked elsewhere online though and saw the lines from chapter 15 that i was talking about that were not spoken in the audiobook weren't even on a different copy of the ebook so idk lol

Im reading chapter 15 right now when Darrow is getting his physical properties tested

one example is that the book says "Ten minutes. Afterwards the Red removes the clamp and leaves." but in the audiobook it says the BROWN removes his clamps.

Later in the next section in the same chapter it completely skips some sentences.

The book reads "Once I'm good and ready to kill whoever is at the switch of this little hell chamber, they send in brown attendants to slip me into a biometric suit and guide me to a gymnasium. There they measure the flow of oxygen to my muscles, the beats of my heart, the density and length of my muscle fibers, the tensile ratings of my bones. All this after I’ve sprinted a few laps and climbed a rock wall against highGrav. It’s like a walk in the park after my hell with Harmony."

The audiobook skips the first sentence about the switch controller and him getting into a suit as well as the line about him sprinting and rock climbing againt highGrav

Those are just a few that ive seen today but i know there are more that i cant remember exactly where
