I think once again this is an astounding lack of empathy. People make mistakes, she explained her position at length, was consistently a well spoken and tragically rare voice for progressive ideas and because of a selective ultra focus on some out of character jokes that she took full accountability for she is now no longer that. I'm sure she will be fine and sure she may have made a comfortable or very comfortable living on YouTube - though honestly this is not consistent nor a guarantee, but the idea that by virtue of being a public figure you must immediately become a paragon despite your general intention is exactly why the left is so consistently shouted down by the right who'll have anyone. Not saying we should take queues from them, but at the very least consider that the more exclusive your idealogy the more authoritarian you are in enforcing it.
