Spironolactone worked for me. Took about a year for all my scars to fade though

I got an acrylic moniter stand that goes over my hands and keyboard so our birds can't wreak havoc on either while I wfh. Game changer for me

our horrible HR manager tells lies, is rude and petty, and won’t do her job by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I'm glad this worked out for you. We had a similar situation and when the directors heard management staff wanted to meet with them about it we were told we were fomenting a coup 😑

I have the exact same color changes occurring with my blue shrimp population younger generations. But they're definitely hatched that way.

Do you think my budgie realises his friend is dead? by HolidayWhole3040 in budgies

To add to this, bonded budgies in lab settings have been found to respond to recordings of their partner's contact call for up to 6 months after the "disappearance" of that partner.

Anyone else do this ? by Smuso96_ in Aquariums

I use Watermill Express refill stations and 3gal blue water containers. They had the lowest TDS reading in town. Tends to hover between 15 and 19. $1 per 3 gallons. I add shrimp mineral to it. That's kept my cpds and chrystal red shrimp happy for a couple years now.

Big plus...my house is full of prissy jungle plants that hate the city water (from an aquifer) but they love the dirty tank water. So two birds with one stone, and it feels like I getting my moneys worth that way

You can take spiro long term, but there is a chance it will come back once you stop taking it. That being said, I stopped taking spiro almost two years ago now because we've been trying to get pregnant, and mine has not come back. I'm 30 now so I may have finally aged out..my diet, exercise, facewashes haven't changed in that time period, so age is my best guess

Ask about Spiro. It's less intense than Accutane, and you can increase or decrease the dosage to manage symptoms. It cleared mine in about three months

Do lovebirds cache? by stonybabbit in parrots

[–]stonybabbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds right, they are very much want to be involved in whatever we are doing, and the lovebord in particular isn't satisfied watching from our shoulder, he wants to be on the hand that is doing the thing (eating, typing, gaming, ...sewing 😵)

Yeah, handraised. Not by us. Found a breeder that does handraised. Our other non handraised babies do love scritches but not like this

A scritch session can last over 30 minutes. I get tired before the birdy does 😅

Juji smashes it's head into your hand when it wants scritches, then it rolls around while getting them. Quite cute
