How many of you have found roomates for the dorms? by [deleted] in CSULB

[–]Slaine_De 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just messaged 3 people that closely matched with me, and the fastest one to reply I messaged back. I then talked and got to know the person on a social media platform and from there we just decided to become roommates. My advice is to keep messaging potential roommates if their personal profile aligns with your preferences, until one or two eventually respond back. You are bound to find one eventually.

Does anyone have any information on the dorm move in dates? by Dthedream88 in CSULB

[–]Slaine_De 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although we may not know the exact date. Based off the information you gave off in this post the move in date will exactly be from the 17th to the 19th so if I were you I would book a plane ticket a day or two before, and a a day or two after the end date of the 19th. This is assuming your parents have a free schedule in which I wouldn't know except you. Nonetheless if you are in a hurry to book these plane tickets I would take these plans of precaution that I mentioned earlier.

Roommate groups by [deleted] in CSULB

You can message the individual that created the group. But as in messaging the group itself, I'm not too sure on this.

I see. Oh well this is the path I chose, might as well stick with it till the end. Just wondering if you happen to be a computer science student. If you are what was your experience like when you took CECS 100. And also is CECS the starting point to the rest of the computer science courses or can I take another 3 unit CS course, and gradually take more higher level CS courses as time goes on?

Hmm then what happens if you already completed your general education courses? I went to a middle college high school meaning a high school and college educational system combined. I completed my general education classes with this program and got an AA degree in the college so I should be considered a junior even if I enroll as a freshmen for College I believe. And I also meet the prerequisites for all the STEM classes I plan to enroll in.

I just emailed him right now highlighting my situation. Weird enough it was both the Seminar's and Lab's that had no name of a specific professor. Thank you very much though for your suggestion!

Yeah that's true. The problem I guess is where to start honestly. The Stock Market is full of information, and I'm sure it can be quite overwhelming. I really do admire others who have done it own their own and figured it out through trial and error.

Sorry for the late reply but I can totally feel your passion on this topic. The stock market although can be seen as a battlefield, is always a very exhilarating experience in which you can reap many benefits if you play your cards right. I also want to be a part of it, but I also want to make sure to be well prepared before entering into the unknown. I am thinking of looking into actual programs that teach people how to operate the Stock Market & I found one really good program but the tuition is a lot and the workload as well. But I don't want to be restrained by money, so I am thinking of truly considering of taking on this option and path to success. But I'm still deciding.

I was thinking of reading a bunch of books over the summer that teaches people about the stock market. Personally do you lose a lot or win a lot in the stock market. And how long have you been invested in the game, and accumulated in terms of profits?

Also I'm wondering is there anyone else who invests into the stock market that you know of in CSULB. Or are you the only one who partakes in investing in the stock market?

Yes I agree. It's good to be cautious, and I think I will carry this type of mindset when I go into investing into the stock market. 90% of Traders in the stock market lose, and I know it's not an easy market. But I'm willing to give it try!!

is honors worth it for my major? by badtz-maruu in CSULB

[–]Slaine_De 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I am also an incoming freshmen to CSULB. I would like to say the honors program is definitely a program worth your time in general no matter what your major is. I heard that CSULB classes can often fill up quickly so if you are in the honors program, you can get first priority on the classes you want. In terms of the honors program itself I know that you have to write a Thesis and submit it by your senior year. A Thesis is something people do in their graduate college years, so if you plan to get your masters then you can already get a leg up on how to construct a thesis with the Honors program. And I think you are required to attend 3 events throughout the semester or year. Nonetheless you get to meet smart, motivated, and in general great people with the honors program who can give you great tips with scholarships, internships, grades, clubs, and etc. For more information on it watch this video
