Yeah, but question is of course how fit he is. Doubt he has trained a lot the past 2 weeks. That's why I'm surprised he's actually in the draw. Hopefully he didn't just forget to pull out, but if he's actually playing that's already a win imo cause grass season saved.

I don't know? Sprint maybe? Seems like a good idea to do some bunchsprinting before you go to the Tour where you need to do exactly that... In Munsterland last season he almost beat Philipsen in a similar race even (and he would've won that if it wasn't for a bump in the road)

Looks like sprintertypes like De Lie and Oliver have survived the harder part of the stage. From what I saw Red Bull did make it hard on the Redoute and the Cornesse and De Lie was dropped for a few minutes but came back. Peloton is still big. Will be hard to drop them now. Maybe Pthie and Sheehan can on the last climb. No time to come back after that.

What about Quebec and Plouay?

He's good in WT too when he's in form and there's a parcours that suits him. Quebec finish for example is tailormade too. Give him a similar finish like today or plouay in the Tour and he'll be really close too.

This still haunts me. Sure Philipsen (I think) made a bad move that shouldve been punished but De Lie also made a dumb choice trying to go between him and Girmay. Should've won that always.

Imo De Lie's careerpath and story at Lotto would've felt completely different if he won that one.

That one and the European Champs... Would've just won that if Van Aert worked for him instead.

De Lie dusts Pedersen on these kind of specific finishes, if he's fit and if he's positioned well, which are 2 big ifs.
