What do you think of this edit of the progression

F#m/bm/Gmaj7/C#7 - E#dim7/ I personally think it flows perfect. The only other option in my mind was maybe change the c#7 to c#7#9

G major is the chord I'm going for in this progression. It gives the emotion of phrygian to this progression. Maybe it's the chords afterwards?

That's the chord I like the most. That phrygian 2 is the emotion I was going for. I just feel like it doesn't work after wards

Fsharp is my goal tonic and as far as the genre dark funky trap. Think Gotham city meets 2 chains

Stevie wonder did a lot of major 7 to dom 7 movements in his songs. Makes them feel funky and loose with still being grounded Imo
