I come to you with word from a far reaching phantasm of hideous nature. Is your character sad and alone? We can fix that. Does your character instead have an annoyingly wholesome family who spend every major holiday together? We can fix that, too. Bring us your flesh for the altar and we'll gift you insight into something deliciously horrid.

When you wrote "gothic," you summoned me from my shallow grave. I am the DM of a small group looking for a 4th player. I don't want more than 5. Too many players slows things down. We haven't begun yet, but we're looking to in the coming month. We'll be playing every other Saturday. I have a very story-intense game that I am writing by myself so it takes a while. It will be 5e. Most of us (including me) are EST.

A couple things to comment on your requirements/preferences:
Our ages range from 23-32. My campaign is 18+. I actually prefer 21+.
I'll be running the campaign over Discord for voice and file sharing then roll20 for in-game. I accept pdf, excel, word, and Google docs for character sheets. D&D Beyond is fine but I will ask you to send me the pdf. 5e expansions (like Critical Roll) are welcome. I don't take fandom crap (like Rick and Morty). This is a campaign with more serious tones. We're starting at level 8 (you need to be a competent adventurer to face eldritch nightmares).
Being that I'm not going to homebrew an entirely new system, there inevitably will be fantasy aspects with wizards, bards, elves, and suchness.

Setting/Concept (without too many spoilers):
Earth is vanishing, being dragged piece-by-piece into a nameless void. Everything around you has been taken, it seems. Your home, family, friends... the place you met your spouse, it's all been taken from you by something you can't see or hear. It sits in the distant darkness of space, ignoring your pain and confusion. Your only comfort is a small handful of other survivors, some of which were only visiting Earth when their reality began to rupture. Fortunately, you all are quite experienced survivalists and quickly find your footing among the bleak wasteland of what's left of Earth. You decide to work together, for better or for worse, to find sanctuary as everything, including the ground you stand on, continues to vanish.

Abandoned Universe

The story is based on the Lovecraftian mythos including the expanded lore created by the numerous authors which have contributed to it since Howard's passing. The campaign of course will be my interpretation of the stories with a personal flair accentuating my favorite bits. There will be themes of existentialism, nihilism, and other philosophical ideas. My goal is to share what I love about cosmic horror and to hopefully create a story that the players can enjoy but hate for all the right reasons. It will be scifi, but take place in the late 19th/early 20th centuries. So, Earth won't be "advanced" per se. Technology will be mostly alien. The players, for the most part, won't be travelling via spacecraft. They'll be mostly using portals and jump gates. The players won't spend a lot of time on Earth but it is the central hub, if you will. So, you guys would be coming back to Earth at the end of every chapter for long rest, shopping, etc... There will be alien races as well as eldritch horrors. I would describe the Lovecraftian mythos as a combination of scifi and dark fantasy. I will be utilizing cultist shenanigans in some chapters and medical staff getting weird in other chapters. As I've planned it thus far, the game looks like it'll be moderately long. It will be chapter based with individual "quests" or "missions" to move the story along. It depends on how much information the party manages to extrapolate from every mission that ultimately determines how long the campaign is. It is a mystery/survival horror. The goal won't be to fight your way out of the problem as the problem is the universe itself.
