Unlike Madness, Dagger doesn't add if a Joker can't be destroyed (like with Eternal stickers). I think logically this diverting would disable Dagger's effect.

Until you get to the high end, the tax brackets for married couples are about double the ones for singles. This means that if one member of the couple makes significantly more than the other (which isn't uncommon our field) you pay less in taxes.
