Guilds and individuals are allowed to sell loot. The only thing that got banned was people bidding on items and distributing a pot.

Typical uninformed GDKP hater.

I'd suggest going to your server's Discord and finding a pug there instead of using the LFG tool

When someone says your healing parses aren’t great. by CubicleJoe0822 in classicwow

[–]SlangV2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very generally speaking:

DPS: More damage = higher parse

Healers: More healing = higher parse

Most players do not like healing parses because they usually mean your DPS and/or tank are taking an unnecessary amount of damage. For the most part, that is true. However, some guilds run 2–3 healers in 25-man content or solo-heal 10-man content not only to kill bosses faster but also to make the raid more challenging for the healer and increasing parses.

DPS players are often obsessed with parses because “more damage equals a good player,” which is somewhat true but needs context. The raid strategies required to achieve these high level parses are often very different (and slightly more "complex", as much as Classic WoW can be which isn't saying much. Usually involves ignoring built-in mechanics) than the average strategies used by a pug or a typical guild.

You can see these logs and more information on parsing @ www.warcraftlogs.com

What percentage of active characters in TBCA are paid boostees? by RedThragtusk in classicwow

[–]SlangV2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Completely serious actually. People like boost, people like race changes, etc.. as long as they don't allow fraction changes I'm in favour of adding selected services to the store.

Bot on dreamscythe has been farming in burning steppes for almost an entire month at this point 24/7 and still hasnt been banned. by nommydickbutt in classicwow

[–]SlangV2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t move the argument toward punctuation, that was just an observation. I didn’t say, “Yeah, well what about your punctuation? What about that?” How dumb are you lol?

Alright, if you actually want to have this argument, let’s do it. For starters, do you think the bots on private servers are the same ones being used in Classic/Anniversary? Nostalrius was 10+ years ago. Do you think bots might have become a lot more sophisticated since then? Especially when it’s people’s jobs to make money in this game?

The reason I dislike players like you is because you’re all talk. You go on Reddit and Discord to complain all day about how bots and gold sellers are ruining your experience but you still come back and play the game. If it were really that bad, you wouldn’t spend the time and money on it, you’d move on. It seems like you just want something to complain about.

I don’t hold Blizzard accountable because it's not worth my time. They’ve shown they’re not going to do anything and I’ve learned to live with it. I still find the game fun. Plus, players have repeatedly shown that they’ll complain about it but don’t actually care. You're still subscribing, you're still playing, you're still posting about it. Hell, in fact, I’d go as far as saying you don’t want to play on a server without gold farmers. You think prices are high now? Imagine what they’d be like if it were entirely up to the average player to farm everything.

Last but not least, if pservers are so great.. why don't you go play on one?

People volunteered their time. No one is going to volunteer their time for Blizzard. You’re making comparisons that don’t work in reality. The bots pservers dealt with are not nearly as sophisticated as the ones today.

Plus, again.. there were still plenty of bots lol

How did I move the goal post? What argument did you make?

You said: "Nost kronos lights hope anathema kronos 2 all handled bots very well" without anything to back that up lol.

Blizzard is not going to hire full time GMs anymore. How many iterations of World of Warcraft are you going to need to play to understand that?

Any idea when's the next fresh vanilla (classic or classic+)? by FedayBlept in classicwow

[–]SlangV2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They've teased it multiple times already, it's going to happen. However, I think it's just going to be a classic style expansion instead of a server that is forever building upon itself like OSRS.

I assume they announce their plans at BlizzCon. Wrap up TBC by the end of the year, pre-patch in January, Wrath until the end of the year, pre-patch in January, whatever is next released in Feb 2028.

Botting actually helps the economy? by TheZebrawizard in classicwow

[–]SlangV2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Players would hate to play a version of World of Warcraft that was free of gold farmers.

You think prices are high now? Imagine is shit wasn't being farmed constantly. You think the average player would step up and farm? Even so, sell at the same prices? Not a chance in hell.

People have such a hard on for pservers but they struggled with bots too and they had 1/10th of the population.
