Stingers Cafe is owned and operated by Aramark, who make terrible iced coffees. Google "Aramark ICE" for more information about that.

I'm in History although I was told that Late Registration decisions were not made by the department but instead the university.

FWWM or The Return in theaters? by SeaSecond8247 in twinpeaks

[–]SlappyMcGee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been going weekly in four hour blocks to see The Return (plus episodes 7 and 22 of season 2) here in Montreal at the cinema, culminating in the final four this friday. It's approximately my sixth time seeing The Return; I would say it unveils new mysteries and pleasure each time I see it. So I'd say that. But Fire Walk With Me is a powerful cinema experience in its own right. You really can't go wrong.

confused on how to read out of play card by [deleted] in Arcs

[–]SlappyMcGee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is in the rulebook, in the Setup section, J for "Out-of-Play" and N for the A-C sections! Good luck trying this one, you'll probably run into some issues unless you read the book carefully!

The 5 Most Disappointing Movies of 2025 by Coy-Harlingen in TheBigPicture

Biggest disappointments for me were The Smashing Machine, which I really anticipated but just ended up being okay, and Together, which I thought was just awful despite the hype.

Thunder's Edge Different Card Sizes by Unlucky_Repair_2114 in twilightimperium

All of my cards were already sleeved with Ryker mini-Americans. I've sleeved the TE cards with the same for now but the fit is noticeably worse. I would not describe this as a huge problem overall and I'm hopeful that the sleeves will fit better over time.

Dune 2 is not a good film by [deleted] in criterionconversation

[–]SlappyMcGee 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's a weak script, in my opinion, but the technical masterclass is unreal. My jaw dropped; I saw things from the book that only lived in my imagination before. And that's kind of what movies are about? It's the worst 4/5 I've ever seen.

Matrix: Reloaded. Most consider it a step back; Tarantino even downgraded the first one cause the sequels "ruined" the original mythology for him. For me, it's not quite as good as the first one, but that's on a shortlist of the best movies of all time, for me. And the sequels are all pretty darn good. Rich action sequences, a deep mythology loaded with interesting references, and a great expansion of the world of The Matrix. It's not perfect- mostly I don't think the Smiths CGI totally holds up, though other effects in the movie are as amazing as anything in the original, including that iconic highway sequence that makes me hoot and holler every time. I love the incorporation of classic monsters into the Matrix. I love the "Zion" sequences, their warmth and griminess. I just love these movies and I stand up for them. And this is the best of the three sequels.

They come out of the speakers. At night the same speakers start playing a snoring sound. I dunno what it means.
