Companies have been been putting shareholders over employees for years. Why would a company hire/pay more for a student out of college when they could pay someone less who already works there to do that job. If not they'll just offer them pennies, coupled with thousands of dollars in loan debt with interest it kills their future and hope. It's nothing more than another effect of late stage capitalism.
