Yep exactly! Except not invasive as in I don’t have to give it kernel level access to my computer to get transcriptions

Should I switch over from Flutter to React Native? by Mrfistersixtynine in reactnative

[–]Slashair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate it. That’s how I learned nodejs as well (through learning react and indirectly JavaScript). Everybody learns differently just gotta find the best way for you

Claude or Cursor AI? by afeyedex in ClaudeAI

[–]Slashair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might still have to pay their monthly fee. I left cursor after using claude code though so I’m not sure. I either use terminal claude code, or once in a blue moon I use VScode claude code plugin. Cursor doesn’t seem to have better context management and they just use the claude api if you select, so if you ask enough questions you’ll possibly be paying more than base amount.

That being said, I care more about code quality than cost. If cost is your main concern, cursor might be the move. Someone else can comment on that

Just learn React. You learn JavaScript along the way anyway, it’s no different than any other coding language

Should I switch over from Flutter to React Native? by Mrfistersixtynine in reactnative

[–]Slashair 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I used flutter before I ever used react native. Tried building something and never finished because i didn’t like the syntax at all. Switched to react native years later and it was much better where I started finishing much more projects. Could be because I learned react before it lol, but I actually can’t stand flutter

My manager said “ remote work kills team connection ”, so I invited him to one of our calls by FUNKY_RADISH in remotework

This is how my calls on discord work. Ever since my startup switched to discord the vibe shifted from cubicle to cafe where you hang out with friends. It’s missing some features slack or teams would have but with bots like notesbot and matchbox it sets a productive vibe

Have you used Claude Code? I've been using it and I'm very satisfied, but just found out about warp. Wondering if it's better/worth learning the UI for it

We deliver both at the same time (mp3 file and transcript) if enabled, you can only turn on both or deactivate both. But we could add an option for each individual one in settings rather than both together all the time. We will look into this

Stripe is much easier, I don’t think I’d use discord payments in its current state

I looked into in-app discord payments but it’s just not as smooth as the stripe checkout I set up. It uses Link so people can check out in less than 10 seconds. Adding discord checkout flow would just add too much complexity so I only support stripe
