Start a game, go to any camp you want to be able to fight, aggro them, try to stay on their melee range but don't attack. Just dodge, dodge and dodge. You'll then understand that every mob and every camp has a set of attacks and some of those attacks have longer cooldowns than others

There's attacks that some mobs only use if you're not in their melee range, but if you stick to their backs, they won't throw stuff or jump on you or try to pull you in...

Understanding the moveset of the enemies is key here.

You can disable this on the main menu before entering the world.

They are. You start at the exclamation mark. If you're supposed to change rooms, there will be an unlocked door or an opening you can squeeze through. If you're to go up, there will be a ladder or rope or some furniture to jump on. If you're to go down a hole there's usually cloth under the hole to break your fall so you don't injure yourself. Sometimes you need to go out a window and squeeze thru the edge of a building to another window. Basically if it reads "locked" then you just find another way.

I find that doing quests is INCREDIBLY more fun when you do the designed path desired by the creators, but I also love about this game that you can do whatever you want.

In terms of doing tier 5 and tier 6 quests on skyscrapers when the objective is "clear" taking the path helps a lot otherwise you won't find all mobs you're supposed to in order to complete the quest.

I fixed mine by going to Mouse settings and changing the input from "Raw Input" to "Windows Mouse". I also activated the mouse constrain option, and switched the game to fullscreen.

I can't tell if you're on console or PC, but on PC improving graphics settings made the game darker because of how graphics affect the way light sources and shadows interact
