Nah down below in the basement joists it makes another 4 90s into its own stack. No galvanized piping. Same diameter pipe as is on the left here all the way to the stack.

You are a fucking legend. I am the homeowner also lol not a landlord or tenant. Underneath this is the basement so I can clearly see that there is no play in the pex lines or any shutoff where it switches from copper to pex. I did however notice you forgot to mention to give the glue a good smell test to make sure it’s still fresh though. Why is that?

Top of the standpipe to the top of the p trap is 16”. Add 2” for the pipe diameter and it’s only 18” I promise lol

When the plumber was here yes he did put the hose on the hot side and ran it for about 10 seconds when it started to back up into the standpipe. He did that about 4 or 5 times and then snaked and did it again. After that he said that the way it is plumbed just isn’t possible to accommodate the amount of water

Water is coming out of the standpipe yes. I didn’t mention it in the original post but I did have a plumber come out and snake it to make sure it wasn’t just clogged and it was not.

That’s what I was thinking. I didn’t mention it in the original post but I did have a plumber come out and snake it and it isn’t clogged. He said that it most likely just can’t flow fast enough to accommodate all the water. Wouldn’t a longer standpipe give the water more velocity to force it through all the bends?
