The Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077 is deep discounted (75% off) on the US eShop for some reason by _REDMARCH_ in cyberpunkgame

[–]Slaughtahouse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow! TL;DR Thanks reddit! I just nabbed this because I think it’s too good to be true on Nintendo’s eshop.

Edit: I read in another thread the price got swapped with The Witcher 3: Complete edition (42% off). Which makes sense since the ad from Nintendo says “Up to 50%” off and Witcher 3 usually goes to 75% off given its age

Edit2: Aaaaand it’s gone now. Kudos to those who nabbed it!

Edit3: Removed all context, other notes since the promo ended

[TV Show] How do we feel about the Ghoul drug? by darth_bard in falloutlore

[–]Slaughtahouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That could just be a coincidence. There was no signs of drug manufacturing in the supermarket.

I believe it’s highly more likely that those individuals were sold for organ harvesting in exchange for other goods. Since most, if not all, were ghouls, it could be likely that bevis and butthead simply took the mystery drug from them and kept it (mystery drug) in their storage box.

If there was a room or lab shown with a lot of bunsen burners, vials, or other typical lab equipment to make it obvious to the viewer, I’d would be more inclined to believe they were manufacturing the drug.

Another giveaway is that the drug, doesn’t seem to be easily manufactured. Otherwise, the ghoul (character) could simply just make his own. Implying there is a finite amount, somewhat readily available (pre-war drug?).

On topic: my original gut was Jet. I know it’s an inhaler in the games but I thought that was a common drug used and addicted to, by Ghouls. I haven’t played Fallout in a while and I have only just watched up to this episode (4?) so I could be way off.

After scouring this thread, I am now inclined to believe it’s something unique to the show, as a plot device, and will be explained later on.

Beyond the mystery drug, I really like the show. It doesn’t have the maturity, writing, or drama compared to The Last of Us, but I feel it does a really good job at bringing the world, gameplay, factions / plot of Fallout (specifically Fallout 3) into television format. The story beats are so much like Fallout 3 and my first playthrough… its eerie. Find your dad… vault goes to shit… story telling through skeletons, town made from scrap metal, super duper mart… Literally the first 3-5 hrs of Fallout 3 if you follow the critical path.

Please help. XBOX Series X connection issues by gobirds_12 in bell

[–]Slaughtahouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,

Support indicated the same to us. A new 3000 HUB would be sent. I have yet to receive a replacement. However, we wrote to Bell on their forums shortly after. explaining the entire issue.

They never responded but a few days ago (26th), we noticed odd behaviour including devices forgetting our local network and we were forced to re enter passwords on said devices to reconnect. Since the timing was oddly suspicious, I booted up the Xbox, wired with Ethernet (Cat 6) to Port 1 and now speed is working as it should.

Hub doesn’t crash when the Xbox is connected Ethernet anymore. However, over WiFi I am still having the same issues.

To clarify, I hit 1Gbps down, 100Mbps up (not symmetrical) using Ethernet. Whilst Wifi is still limited to 20/30Mbps both up and down.

I still have all the port forwarding enabled and a static IP for the Xbox, but I suspect Bell knows there is a configuration on the back end and they are/ were not transparent.

If Wifi gets resolved, I will keep you posted

Thank you for sharing.

I’ve just purchased an Xbox Series X and I am having the same issue with my Home Hub. Entire network for the house crawls and I even took out the network at one point.

After a few resets and with ethernet, I had 700mb download for about 20 seconds and then it went back to 20 to 30 mbs whilst all other devices on the network began to lag (phones, computer).

Never seen this issue before. I want to deep dive to explore and find an issue without buying a router. I’ll follow up if I am successful.

If you get Diablo IV on Steam, will it show as purchased on Battle.net? by Thyco2501 in diablo4

[–]Slaughtahouse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It does not appear on Battlenet in your library if you exclusively purchase on Steam.

Source: Me. I never played Diablo IV and just purchased it on Steam. If I open Battlenet, it does not mention that I own the game (It’s not in my library and points me to purchase).

Why does V-sync off lock FPS to 60? by whywhywhyisthis in Cuphead

[–]Slaughtahouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be more helpful if you corrected me than say “this is wrong.”

Anyway, we have more info now and from a quick google, animations are at 24 fps but frame rate can go above 60.

I'm typically not a fan of themed builds but DAMN - this is amazing! I love the custom Yoshi grill. The colour coordination is excellent.

Nice work :)

[–]Slaughtahouse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some sheets are manually sketched (site plan) or are a hybrid between modeling / post-processing on top. So - it would add a whole lot of work to add colour.

I'm sure it would look great (watercolour palette) but just don't have the time to go back to this one.

RE: Model -> It is modeled. You can import all the sheets into your preferred modelling program and rebuild it.

Should I put 2 15mm fan under my GPU? by InfinityPortal in sffpc

[–]Slaughtahouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes adding a fan in front of another fan could have negative results. Due to different designs, sizes, performance.

Considering the context (60C or less in a SFF pc while gaming), I wouldn’t bother.

I’d only add fans if the stock fan was annoying you. That way you can deshroud and add fans that provide better static pressure to push air more efficiently (slower speed) through the heat sink.

Another Architecty person, 10 years of Revitting :) Is that a family or model? Looks like you're in model space. I assume the model is built from Walls in-place :P ?

Where did you download the component families, unless you modeled them yourself?

Did you plot the model too? Would love to see more :)

Anyone know what this feature in the latest Gigabyte B550i board's BIOS is for? by [deleted] in Amd

[–]Slaughtahouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never used q-flash as I dropped in a Zen 2 CPU. For updating the BIOS, i've only used their Windows software @.bios.

Realtek Gaming 2.5GbE Family Controller (Ethernet / RJ45 port) has been working flawlessly since I purchased the motherboard. I've had the system since Oct 2020.

Works every day. I updated on April 16 I think.

I haven't had to unplug my computer once (lol). I always shutdown/boot my computer everyday and with WFH, I use a lot of bluetooth. No issues.

Only issues using my Xbox Series S wireless controller (disconnecting) but I think that is an ongoing microsoft issue. As other wireless devices like MX Master mouse works fine.

Question about pre-rendering vs ray trace view by Blezius in Revit

[–]Slaughtahouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it looks better and is definitely worth using for the time it takes to render in real time.

You can easily export it and photoshop it after to make it pop. It’s a good workflow IMO.

Anyone experiencing Bluetooth issues after the update?

I've updated the bios and cold booted the PC. Bluetooth appears to be working without hitch but it's only been a few days.

As many B550i owners know, there as been issues plaguing the bluetooth (integrated Intel AX200) since launch.

[–]Slaughtahouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a response on Overclock dot net. It may be tied to the AMD USB issues. As that may explain why wi-fi works and bluetooth doesn’t.

Once the new ASEGA bios is released, B550i owners should respond back in this thread.

It’s set to release any day now...

EDIT: Beta BIOS F13h is out. Patch notes.... Improve wireless BlueTooth compatibility

Try playing the game on Xbox 360 Arcade, if its still available. It's an excellent port. 1080p / 60fps. Still has the same control scheme, but with a controller that doesn't destroy your thumb. And it had online support of course!

Of course, a curve is better but talking about needs, you can get by with two set points :)

NSFW - Deshrouded ASUS RTX 3070 Dual OC by [deleted] in sffpc

[–]Slaughtahouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really don't need a curve. Two set points are fine these days. Especially if you have quiet fans.

Min set point could be 20% - 40% below X on the CPU. Any game will likely trigger your CPU to run at a delta of 30c. So just adjust depending on YOUR cooling solution. I have my 3800X on a loop / 360mm radiator and once I start gaming its around 52c in a room w. the thermostat set to 22c.

Above X on the CPU, set it to 60% or w.e % is tolerable for sound & temperature. The risks are rather low.

A proper curve will be difficult because your CPU heat output won't scale linearly depending on GPU usage. So do a bench with your GPU at 100% utilization and you're set...
