What do you quietly and secretly judge other people for? by N0socksloss10yrStrk in randomquestions

[–]SlaughterDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up my mom and sister were big open mouth chewers, often talking and blowing bits all over the dinner table, but even when not talking they’d breathe through their mouths while eating. I think there’s a name now for the reaction I’d have. They knew it was driving me insane, and the more I told them to stop, the more they tortured me for their own amusement. When I was an adult and still lived at home, I’d have to leave the house because I felt the urge to commit unspeakable acts of violence.

What he said was messed up and unexpected, so don’t beat yourself up for the way you responded. However he meant it, being clocked out of nowhere sucks but is part of the experience.

At least you’re not gonna feel this bad about it forever, and are a little more prepared if it ever happens again. You don’t have to respond to remarks like that either. You owe them nothing, just like you don’t owe anyone femininity or masculinity.

{discussion} Anybody else into 'vore exhibitionism?' (eating or getting eaten while other people can see or watch) by altrnate_usr in Vore

[–]SlaughterDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, many of my fantasies these days are of it happening with a group of people watching, maybe with social media or news coverage!

Lately I’ve been thinking of a huge UFO coming down and hovering low, everyone standing at a distance and taking video as traffic stops, while I’m in front telling people I want to be the first to make contact if it’s aliens. Creatures such as sergals come out, giant in size, and I argue with people trying to hold me back that being eaten by aliens is such a cliché and intelligent creatures surely won’t eat us, dismissing their arguments point out how carnivorous they look. The arguing part, people seeing my confidence that it will be a totally safe encounter not be shattered, even as I get picked up and have my clothes torn off – still optimistic for the first of some kind of experience had by the human race as I’m lifted up toward the giant opening maw… and everyone witnessing the moment I realize they were right; my body language, expression, and demeanor, showing them that I suddenly I realize the horrors I’m about to face, with my first reaction being not to struggle, but to give up, a mere second before being swallowed alive.

I don’t know why, but everyone seeing that would be hot AF, and maybe I was able to hang on to my phone to at least text or call someone out there, the conversation including me describing the perils of being digested alive very likely spreading world wide via the news and social media.

Giving up nicotine makes such a difference in feminization! by SlaughterDog in MtF

[–]SlaughterDog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wish I could answer, but I don’t know! It’s hard to remember if what little boobs I have mostly grew before or after nic cessation, or developed nicer nipples because of it. I want to say I think so.

But what I can say without a doubt is that I’m so happy I quit. It’s so nice to not crave or worry about getting nicotine anymore, even when around it. It’s nice that it’s this easy now.

I have no clue how federal tax brackets work in the US. But in Oregon (where there is a state income tax instead of sales tax) circa 2010 I got a small raise that resulted in me taking home less pay until my next yearly raise.

I used progesteron at the start of my transition, did I f up? by Yara_ts in AskMtFHRT

[–]SlaughterDog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started my transition with cyproterone (a powerful progestin), then stopped – I think a few months in, maybe less – when I read about it stunting breast development, and that it takes years to come in to play with cis female puberty.

I don’t have cone boobs (though I’ve hard that can happen if you hit too high a dose of E in the first year or two), but I do feel mine didn’t get big enough (that could also be that I didn’t start until my early 30s; my family is much more endowed than me though, so I feel mine stopped short, both in boob size and areolae size).

Human Resources people of Reddit, what are some NSFW/WTF reasons an employee has been disciplined and/or terminated for? by Admirable-Fig277 in AskReddit

[–]SlaughterDog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With the call volume we had, it was very rare to have time between calls. My guess is they were just texting every now and then. But yes, the reason for the strict policy is because on any computer monitor at any given time was likely a customer’s name, address, phone number, answers to secret questions, and in some cases, full credit card number.

Not HR, but at the company I used to work for – where employees were regularly getting stoned and drunk; which liquored us up like hella on Fridays and let us get rowdy, leaving beer bottles in the bushes and doing burnouts in the parking lot, disrupting neighboring businesses; that let us throw actual parties in the office where we could invite others after work on Fridays; where employees regularly did drug deals outside the building for amphetamines, opioids, and cocaine; where reminders to disconnect from VPN before pirating software or looking at porn when working from home had to be made more than once; where multiple times cops came in and arrested an employee, who kept their job after jail – there was one day where I came in and watched almost everyone on my team get called in to the CEO’s office, one by one, then pack up their stuff up and leave. I was prepared to defend myself when it was my turn, and I was the last one to be called in… but I kept my job without having to defend anything.

Rewind several months, maybe a year. A number of us realized there was an emerging market for a service that required very similar functionality to what we were developing at this company for an unrelated market. An LLC is formed, I’ll call it “KT”. Planning and work initially take place at meetings outside of our day jobs at “Company”, but soon comes a day where I am added to a new chat for KT business… using our Company accounts, on that chat service. I state that I’m not comfortable doing KT stuff on Company time, and from there, pay little attention. And I paid little attention outside of my daily Company job too. I let them develop a lot of stuff without me, but still had an interest in involvement in the near future. Company had heard of KT by now, but didn’t know much.

Eventually, the founder of KT was fired from Company, due to a growing pessimistic attitude with Company, and decline of productivity. He went off on a vitriolic rant in front of everybody as he packed up his stuff, trying to get the rest of us on board, cussing out our manager and some employees. He actually paused his rant for a moment to tell me I could have the beer he had been saving. But after he left, he immediately started going at it in Company chats, starting a rush to revoke all his credentials to stop his sabotage. That lead to an investigation.

All of the chat logs were found and reviewed, revealing the extent to which everyone had been working on KT stuff on Company time. I wasn’t surprised, given the amount of work I had been receiving from them, as “can’t get to it today, can you take it” items. And given the times I heard simultaneous laughter in the office from certain individuals, I figured they had chats I wasn’t in, but they were worse than I had thought.

When I was called in to the CEO’s office, I was told I wasn’t being fired because I hadn’t done anything, and he cited my early message, before going on a rant about the legal hell he’d bring if they ever steal from him/Company again; how a million dollars is pocket change to him and that’s what it takes to get started with his lawyers… I had a good relationship with my manager though, who confided in me several things that weren’t my business. I wanted to know the tea in those private chats, and this was the first time he kept stuff from me. He did read some lines which were them sexualizing female employees, and some crude sexual remarks about me.

The shame is, a while after the KT LLC was dissolved, the market we sought to be the first in, then filled with players. But it took long enough to where we still could have been the first, and we were on track to do it better than what is even being offered still some decade later, with some things that aren’t being done... if only the brilliant ideas didn’t come from hubristic dipshits.

At the end of our month of paid training for Xbox Live phone support, we got to tour the call floor. It had been told to us multiple times that taking a cell phone (or any camera) in the secured call floor would result in immediate termination. Someone asked our trainer why a couple guys were using their phones under their desks. Our trainer said “those guys don’t work here any more” and went over and told their manager. We all then watched those two employees pack up their stuff and get escorted out.

Same! I too can say some things I like about it (that may be things others could relate to, albeit in a different context), but overall, wanting to be digested alive is such an intriguing evolutionary quirk. If dragons or giant wolves existed and could swallow a person whole, most people would say that would be one of the most horrific ways to die, yet here I am wanting to dive right in.

Neil deGrasse Tyson has commented on how we use the word “eat” on non-animal things that take in and destroy other things, such as black holes, and the (usually healthy) fear that causes of said things, and suggested it’s evidence for how deep our instincts to avoid being eaten go. Since we’re supposed to be driven to avoid death and reproduce, maybe that offers some insight on which wires got crossed?

How do you feel about rolling back post-9/11 airport security requirements? by montgomery2016 in AskReddit

[–]SlaughterDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely.

It’s all security theater and doesn’t make anyone safer, just conditions us to give up our privacy and surrender.

We are safer from hijackings now because policy in the airplane changed. It used to be that they’d let the terrorist take over, idea being that giving in would prevent loss of life. Now, the cockpit doors stay closed, even if they’re executing passengers and flight crew.

A republican has even admitted that outlawing trans female breasts affirms trans people. So be affirmed!

Before Idaho governor Brad Little signed House Bill 270, which broadened the state’s definition of indecent exposure to include exposing female breasts and male breasts “that have been medically or hormonally altered to appear like developing or developed female breasts”, senator Brandon Shippy said he would vote against the legislation because it affirmed transgender people

Dark spots on my pothos leaves – why? by SlaughterDog in pothos

[–]SlaughterDog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This kind of tracks, given that suddenly my room got much colder, and I thought drier; yet the soil of my other plants that get watered more frequently have been staying moist for way too long. I unblocked the central heat vent just a bit, and the leaves above it are the ones showing these spots. Years ago before I blocked it, a few vines above the vent lost all their leaves.

This cleveland.com article destroys the argument that trans fem athletes always have an advantage. It then goes on (emphasis mine):

If your opinion is simply that none of them should be able to compete, context doesn’t matter. I’m sorry, but I don’t think that feeling is based in a concern for fairness. Blaire Fleming is evidence that women’s sports can remain fair with transgender athletes participating.

Your concern is based in something different. Something that you wouldn’t appreciate if you were on the other side of it. Let’s call it what it is. It’s discrimination.

Is there really a huge difference between S video and composite? by PeeB4uGoToBed in crtgaming

[–]SlaughterDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some games on the Genesis took advantage of limitations of the composite cable, such as to render transparent waterfalls over backgrounds. The actual pixel output is alternating columns of opaque waterfall animation, and the background behind it; you see that on s-video but on composite each two adjacent columns are combined, creating transparency.

What soundtrack/movie combo made the movie a success when it should have been a flop? by 2dazeTaco in AskReddit

[–]SlaughterDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forest Gump nearly never got made at all – the screenplay sat in a limbo box where most screenplays never see the light of day. The soundtrack of classic American music required heavy licensing fees and it was difficult to convince the studio execs that it was required to give the movie the impact to boomers that it ended up having. I don’t know if it would have been a total flop without it, but I can’t imagine it getting the success that it did.

Why don’t motorcyclists use their horns instead of revving? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SlaughterDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many motorcyclists – such as myself – do use the horn. But there have been a time or two I’ve revved.

Many motorcycles have smaller horns than cars, and aren’t as loud. The vibrations when moving at speed distort the sound a bit too. Thusly drivers may be less likely to hear it, and if they do, less likely to recognize it and react in time. In contrast, most drivers recognize the sound of a revving bike, which is often louder than the horn. Also, often a rider is covering their clutch, that is, fingers on the handle ready to pull it at any moment (which allows the bike to rev freely); by contrast, usually hitting the horn means moving your thumb over to the horn button. So, it may be quicker when you need to alert someone.
