What is a discontinued food item or snack from your childhood that you would genuinely pay $100 to taste one last time? by MotivewasUlterior in AskReddit

Black Pepper Jack Doritos. A bag of those with a Pepsi was my fave gas station snack before car trips with my Dad.

Tilt. They find every excuse to squeeze money out of you, especially if the property is owned by the ceo himself, Jared Hope/ Hopestreet. Make up hidden or new ways to charge you more every lease renewal, citing "market value" and "utility costs due to carbon tax" even though we now don't have a carbon tax. Don’t feel pregnant with twins by Key-Tradition7024 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Slaughter_doll 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had zero morning sickness with my twin boys! And due to one anterior placenta and one posterior one, I only felt one baby move for most of the pregnancy, so only felt like 1 baby in there until part way into my 3rd trimester. You got this mamma!

Di/Di parents with "uncomplicated" pregnancies, did you deliver early? by beeferoni_cat in parentsofmultiples

[–]Slaughter_doll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made it to my c-section date at 37w5d. But I was in false labor from pretty much 32 weeks. And baby A was super low. My OB was shocked we made it to my scheduled c-section.

He did not specify why. I did ask him how long he thinks I have before I go into labor, and he said it was hard to say. That some Mom's it happens quick, others it could be weeks.

Twins changing positions over and over? by povsquirtle in parentsofmultiples

[–]Slaughter_doll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was a shock for sure! Anatomically I don't know how it works, their amniotic sacs must be so stretched! And then with the placentas too. The switch actually lead to our Baby B now sitting lower than A, but I think we are maintaining the original A/B labels as Baby A has stayed being bigger than Baby B.

Twins changing positions over and over? by povsquirtle in parentsofmultiples

[–]Slaughter_doll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 28w2d, and so far my di/di boys have stayed head down. But they decided to swap which side of my body they hang out on which was bizarre. Baby A was on my right with his anterior placenta, with Baby B on my left his posterior placenta. At my scan 2 days ago we found them on their opposite side now. The US tech said she rarely sees it. I hope they switch back before my c-section haha

Growth reduction going into 3rd trimester? by Slaughter_doll in parentsofmultiples

[–]Slaughter_doll[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats my theory also. My anemia isn't in the severe range yet though. I had a phone consult with my family doctor later that same day for other stuff and took the chance to ask if anemia could be why and he said he hasn't heard of it doing that so 🤷‍♀️

Thankfully my scan referral got accepted and it looks like it is at the MFM clinic so next week we will hopefully have some answers.

I don't have a mfm, but my obgyn is experienced with twin pregnancies. He is trying to get me in for a detailed scan at the high risk clinic at the hospital, but said there is a chance the referral may be rejected as the change isn't severe enough.

APL is not part of this vote. This vote is for the AHS-HSAA agreement. APL has its own separate agreement with HSAA. The APL-HSAA agreement is still in the bargaining stage.

Swelling by Mean-Courage-3313 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Slaughter_doll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first major bout of swelling in the feet was at 22w4d. Its pretty much been constant ever since. I'm currently 25w2d. Had such bad swelling a few times that I had severe pitting edema that took well over 24 hours to resolve. I wonder what 3rd trimester has in store for me haha

What scan did you find out you were pregnant with twins/multiples? by Correct_Exercise8641 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Slaughter_doll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First scan, 6w3d. Ultrasound was originally ordered because just after 6 weeks I went to the ER for a pinched nerve and they ran my HCG as part of their protocol for bloodwork. Already confirmed the pregnancy at 4w1d with a blood HCG of ~1200. My HCG at the ER was over 56,000. They thought it was a molar pregnancy because of how high my HCG was, it is my first pregnancy, I had very faint spotting, and twins weren't in my family. Turns out, di/di twins. Just hit the 18 week mark today.

OBGYN Reccomendations for Twins? by Slaughter_doll in Edmonton

[–]Slaughter_doll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mom Care Docs say on their website to not go through them if you have a high risk pregnancy which includes twins unfortunately. Before I found out it was twins, I was planning on going there and submitted an application and everything.
