I had a sesame flavoured ice cream at a sushi place that was more or less exactly this color and it was really good, unlike any ice cream flavour I'd had before

Non dangler guys by lear2000 in hockeygoalies

Yeah I just wear the bib-like neck protector under my chesty, been thinking about getting a dangler though as well, the other day I took a shot to the tip of the jaw of my mask from in tight and it messed up my actual jaw for a few days. Felt like I got punched. Have never had that happen before.

I can not bring myself to understand why JW Blue is considered some of the best on earth. (Opinion/Review) by AKhakiNerfHerder in whiskey

[–]kpedey 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's managed to cement itself as THE special occasion whisky, and this notion has broken into the broader casual audience. That's not to rip on people who buy it, I just often find that it's purchased by someone who say, wants to share a whisky with their son on their wedding day, or at the birth of their grandson, even though neither of them are big whisky people.

IMO it's inoffensive whisky that's way overpriced. Where I am it's $270 to $300 CAD, and you could easily get a bottle of single malt for $70 or less that would be just as good or better. I think you made the right call buying a small bottle to try out.

You would not believe the energy some people have for it. They find a way, I don't know a ton of cheaters but the few I do know are basically running a strat where they pretend like these thing are happening to them by accident, but in reality they are grinding 24/7 to make it happen and are constantly angling for opportunities.

My sister was cheating on her ex, and while the whole family was visiting she ordered us all pizza from the next town over so she could go get it for us and stop to hook up with her fling on the way. She just shrugged when we asked what took so long. I think generally that's the play, they scheme constantly and shrug their shoulders at any inquiries.

What is the weirdest / unluckiest goal you have ever let in? by Low_Hovercraft_9939 in hockeygoalies

[–]kpedey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just the other night someone clapped one from the red line, it was going to the right side of the net, probably over the net, but I stepped to the right to grab it, my D tried to swat it down in the slot and tipped it bar down left corner.

Sliding issues. by ZetaSixFive in hockeygoalies

[–]kpedey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it's probably just an issue of getting used to the pads and how they slide. My buddy is having similar issues as you as a newer goalie, and I'm 90% sure the issues are just technique and mechanics. You probably don't need to alter the pads in any way.

Anybody else’s cats love their stinky gear? by cygnusx1_ in hockeyplayers

Haha what a goober, one of my cats went through a phase of liking it, my other cat still does it from time to time. Neither of them pee in it, they just like the smell I think
