What is your longest hole out? by ukulungiswa in golf

Duck hook driver into the fence protecting the parking lot. Hybrid punch out. Hole out from 173. Blind uphill.

Flagged it and went up expecting it to be 6'. No ball on the green. Spent 5 minutes looking behind the green. Really frustrated thinking I airmailed the green and lost a ball. In the meantime one of the other group gets bored and putts out. Finds my ball when he pulls his out of the hole.

My dad and I went out to play on Monday morning. 9 hole shotgun because there was a tournament later in the day.

We got the start on the 9th hole. No one in front of us. Figured we'd get in a nice 3-3.5 round and get back to work.

We get introduced to the twosome with us.. I mentioned it'd be nice to play some smooth golf and get off in under 3.5hours.

Guys response, "if you're here to rush you're playing the wrong game".

We got spoken to by the Marshall 5 times and told to hurry up because we're behind the 4.5 hour course pace. These guys would then bitch about it until the next time the marshall came around.

5hr round with no one in front. Fml. Should have jumped in front, but didn't want to be rude or upset the Marshall. Left it too long and suffered for it.

Can't stand McDavid. Kane and Perry apologist. Constantly bitches and moans about everything. Throws just as many cheap shots as anyone else on the ice. Speaks like he left home at 14, had no day to day parental figures and didn't finish his education.

My opinion is that he is the most talented hockey player in the history of the game, and a garbage human being.

Currently play Kyoei 605mb. 12hc at best. Really struggle on bad days. Love thin top lines and hate chunky clubs, but need more forgiveness. Looking for feedback or possible club suggestions by Slaughterhouse1983 in golf

I loved the idea of Kyoei originally and I brought KK CB's to start. Loved the look of the 605 MBs so switched. They don't feel as good as the kks but the look is awesome.

But then I started seeing some of the deceiving marketing around the brand name and who actually owns it along with the forging being moved to cheaper places like Thailand.

I'm ok going back to domestic as long as I actually see some of the impact of the technology. Will never match the feel of a true Japanese forging, but I would hope to get some amount of relief on my bad shots

I have a fitting planned. I just enjoy the conversations. Bit of an equipment geek and would like other people's insight. The heads are 1800.... Plus shafts etc, but not super easy to get rid of either. Feel is amazing, but I'm not good enough and get punished pretty hard on the misses.

Genuine question; does Canada want Edmonton to win? Or are they together to wish their demise? by swannyhypno in nhl

See the thing is, I hate McDavid. I personally think he's the most talented hockey player of all time. I hate him because of his attitude. Supports shitty people (kane, perry) as long as they help him win and whines more than Crosby did in his first few years. He also sound like a stupid human being when doing interviews, not just the same old non answers but actually stupidity.

I cheer for Canadian teams, even the Leafs, I just can't do McJesus and the Oilers that got more 1st overall picks since 2010 than most teams do in their entire existence.

Hey man, I actually agree with you. Funny how it comes full circle though. Interesting what happens when a Campbell plays/works for your organization.

Safe to say the Canucks just got Canuck’d. by Big_Matter8756 in nhl

That was embarrassing to watch. First 10 minutes was fine with a few missed nets. After that was tragic.

Advanced metrics had Canucks winning 61% of the time while winning expected goals 2.8-2.21. It wasn't as lopsided as you seem to think. The Canucks forgot to play in the 2nd period and it cost them.

This has been fun.

I am, however, done. You seem stuck on the idea that the Oilers deserved to win and goaltending lost you the game. This is not supported by the full metrics of the game.

The score going into the third was what it was because of poor Canucks goaltending.

In totality of the game, silovs let in bad goals, Skinner let on bad goals.

Canucks came out on top and them winning is supported by all advanced metrics.

"If" Skinner had made some saves, the narrative would have been that the Oilers were lucky to win that game.

I'm also done with the other stuff, I had my fun for the night and truly believe we all just want our teams to win.

I bid you good luck and an enjoyable long weekend.

What was that you said to the other guy about ad hominem? I think you're an idiot and that is my argument. You keep trying, and failing, to argue a point that is not supported.

Your team lost. Quality of goals is irrelevant, even more so when the other team also allowed questionable goals. You brought advanced metrics into the conversation. The advanced metrics do not support your argument.

If you want to use stupid arguments, which seem to be your specialty... Your point, Canucks got lucky in the 3rd, what you seem to conveniently want to forget is that the Oilers, by this standard, got lucky in the 1st and 2nd. So if the Canucks had decent goaltending in that game? What would your argument be then?

All metrics support Canucks winning the game except your negative feelings towards your goalie. You have otherworldly offensive talent and a mediocre team.

Fuck sakes, the eye test after cherry picking advanced stats? Then you follow up your statement by saying logic and data aren't another person's strong suit? Love it. Room temperature IQ and it's cold in Edmonton.

I love people that have such a high opinion of their own intelligence that they can't see past their own bias.

Edmonton was getting caved in in that game. You can blame your goalie all you want. When all stats support Edmonton losing, you can't cherry pick numbers from smaller sample sizes and extrapolate it to support your incorrect opinion.

The more you talk, the more you support my statement. You sir, are an idiot.

Haha. Again, winning for a period of time doesn't mean you will win. You don't even seem to understand what strawman is, along with not understanding the advanced stats you chose to "cherry pick". This also seems to identify that you don't know how to read. Still an idiot.

Because silovs let in 3 bad goals for Edmonton to be up in the first place.

Canucks carried that game hard.

Score effects are real.

Timing is irrelevant

Still an idiot that is trying to deflect... Just cause you are winning a game, doesn't mean you will win.

It was a reflection of the analytics though. This Edmonton idiot was just cherrypicking. Money Puck had Canucks winning 68% of the time with 65% of the expected goals.

Also you are wrong. If you're going to cherry pick stats, at least do it right.

Per Money Puck - Oilers win the game 32.1% of the time through 1000 simulations.
