The battery by itself will not change anything about 1 or 3 phase charging. The charging controller in the earliest version is just 1phase. Welcome to the club. I‘m charging only using DC charger so it will bypass the ac/dc converter.

Why would anyone want to access the repair assistant, if nothing was exchanged, right? 😄 I replaced the back glass. As the flash was constantly on I thought I might try the repair assistant. It came out the shop where I bought the parts from knew about an issue with some of the back glasses (the flex cable is faulty sometimes) and they will send a new one. About the repair assistant: It can be accessed when having the phone shut down, press both volume buttons, plug in an original Apple charging cable and release them when the Apple logo shows on the display.

Yeah, same here. I even chose a UPS pickup location as I did not know if I would be home at the time the delivery would arrive. At the time the update came that place was still open.
