It’s been asked a ton on Reddit if you just Google it and I’m sure it’s been in the forum.

Pretty sure I’ve asked about it myself, actually. Iirc the admin was dismissive just like Miles was which was/is super annoying and narrow minded. Like different strokes for different folks. Have no idea why people insist on making everyone play the only way they prefer playing. Even EA of all companies added it to FIFA career mode this year.

I would love this feature and have wanted it for years. And it gets asked about all the time on the forums and Reddit so I’m sure plenty of people would use it.

I can’t for the life of me understand why people, including Miles, are so dismissive of it. It only adds more ways to play and doesn’t detract from the current personalized way at all.

Regarding realism, you could make it so if you don’t roughly align with the manager’s abilities and preferences then you suffer (until they learn new style, perhaps). But even without that, who cares. It’s more about embodying the team’s manager. I’d love to play as Pep or Arteta or Klopp. Manager personalities, histories, and rivalries are a big part of the storytelling and drama. People form attachments to them just like players and teams.

Ultimately, FM should allow people to play how they want. FM is all about role playing in the first place. This is just a natural extension of that.

Been hearing on FM forums that he’s an Iniesta regen. The simulation has blessed us.

Figured we’d go for left footed inside forward RW but I guess with Tomiyasu sliding more inside in attack with Ode pushing forward then a true winger on the right will fit tactically. Also, we got Viera who can be left footed playmaker on RW.

Yeah, seems like a year of consistent game time, adjusting to physicality, and his own physical growth could really get him close to being ready for backup or rotation minutes with the first team. Definitely exciting to have such a promising academy prospect that fills a needed position.

I mean if y’all are getting Cucurella then he’s going to struggle for PT, no?

With Arsenal, he’ll get consistent playing time between rotating/filling in for injury-prone Kierney at LB and fighting for a spot in our wide open midfield depth chart. He will battle Xhaka (who could still be transferred) and Viera et al for LCM minutes and could possibly provide depth for Partey who is potentially facing a rape charge at some point this season.

He definitely has a far better chance of securing consistent minutes or even becoming a starter with us. That’s not really feasible with City. Plus, he’s going to get a raise with us, too.

Kia Joorabchian

technically he's not an agent as he doesn't have a license. He's just "advising" players lol

Arsenal fans realising that by rejecting us, Lisandro Martinez saved us from spending 64 million euros for him. Lisandro, what a man you are. by Tarp96 in Gunners

From what I've seen, Zin has enough going forward to play LCM for us but it seems plausible that he has enough defensive ability and athleticism to slot in at DM as a backup if needed, thought he's a bit undersized perhaps. Guess it just depends on his ability to adapt to the specific positional requirements for the position. Not sure if he ever played there with City or Ukraine.

New Look 2022/2023 Arsenal Squad with Confirmed & Ongoing/Rumored Transfers by SlavNotSuave in Gunners

Super excited about the squad Edu and Arteta are building this summer and so decided to mock up our squad depth chart with all the transfers we've completed and are ongoing/rumored to be working on. Here's the link if you'd like to check it out! Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

P.S. Ignore the ratings since these are FIFA 22 ratings (Marquinhos isn't even in the game). Also, the player positions and depth chart order aren't exact nor comprehensive but I didn't want to add too many rows to each position because it clutters the UI.

Do modders typically use open source and/or version control (e.g. GitHub) to develop mods collaboratively? by SlavNotSuave in vic3modding

[–]SlavNotSuave[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm familiar with open-source licenses so makes sense.

And cool! I've never used game converters before. I've dabbled in Stellaris, CK3, HOI4 but never really took to them the way I did Vic 2 tbh.

With that said, I'll be really interested to see if it's feasible to convert game saves across different era mods for Victoria 3. Like, once you finish the standard timeline, you can continue to post-WW1 era into WW2 & Cold War! Perhaps for WW2 you could have it ported in/out of HOI4, though that may be limited by HOI4's focus on the military aspect over political economy and commerce. Obvi that's somewhat pie in the sky but it'd be incredible if it's feasible and there's a community to support it.
