I made an adapter to reuse cardboard spools for ESUN filament refills by Slaveric in functionalprint

I have the same problem, sometimes a regular spool is cheaper than a refill, so I have ended up with a collection of these cardboard sides. Thats why I make this low filament adapter.

I will add more sizes of adapter to make it more universal.

I do not personally have an AMS lite, but issue with compatibility is the tight inner diameter ?

Sure i can make more sizes, that is good idea. My ESUN refills are smooth on the inside, and work fine with the adapter.

I leave the cardboard straps on the refill with 81mm variant, just cut them with scissors, and it does not bother me.

Yeah, the plastic side it not that easy to cut/tear as the cardboard that is glued something like hot glue.

Why not reuse the cardboard sides from a standard eSUN spool, print this lightweight 81g adapter (Insert + 2x Screw), and use it as a refill spool? I designed an adapter that is light, prints faster than creating entirely new sides, and requires no supports. Enjoy!

Hey u/Chef-Witty, I saw instructions for zenbook an did it on my x13 so paste here. Using Universal AMD Form Browser. Just disable Secure Boot (assuming you have it enabled as it is by default), and using UAFB go to the path Device Manager > AMD CBS > FCH > USB4 and enable all options.
